“Beautiful Gem right on the beach!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

We loved staying in our suite through the holidays. The beach is footsteps from you door, and you could literally hear the waves as you go off to sleep. Fans, mosquito netting around the bed, and a double shower enhance the experience.

Staff is friendly and professional, and extremely helpful. Everyone looked so happy and peaceful there!

Lovely place to stay in Tulum. Worth every penny!

We stayed in this hotel for only one night, but when we left we hoped that we could have stayed longer. The hotel is very nice and a great option for 5* all inclusive hotels. I stayed in ocean view room, and it was just perfect. We first wanted to have a bit more expensive and luxus room, but Jorge suggested that we take a look into room he proposed - it was just perfect, he was right. The beach is amazing and peaceful compared to Playa del Carmen, not even saying anything about Cancun. We has breakfast into our room with no extra charge. If you are looking for private, nice (maybe not very very luxus) hotel - this is the place for you to be. Thank you Jorge expecially, you made our trip just amazing :)

We stayed 6 nights in Pajaro Azul at Nueva Vida on our honeymoon (FANTASTIC honeymoon!!!). By happenstance, we ran into friends staying down the road at Zamas, who paid more than we did and after seeing their accommodations and a couple others, we knew we had picked the best place in Tulum.

The cabanas are all tucked in lush palms on the gorgeous white sandy beach, close to everything but totally private. Sparkling clean rooms cleaned daily. Ricardo and ALL the staff are like a family who is SO happy and gracious and accommodating. We felt so safe, cared for, everyone was incredibly generous, helpful, genuine and happy to be of service. We both work at a retreat center and this vacation was our one chance to be served-- we felt just the way we want our guests to feel. This place is SPECIAL... a real gem. I'm almost hesitant to post this, because I want it to stay the way it is :)

Everything was perfect. Every little touch was tasteful, the tiled floors and mosaic bathroom art, the decorations, the linens, the origami toilet paper... the fresh towels, the familiar smiles when we went to the open air office, the consideration to every small request.

This is the place to come if you want to be totally at ease, totally comfortable, totally relaxed and happy and not have a need for a single thing. This is the place to come to feel like you are in seclusion, but close to the culture of Tulum, to feel like you are held in the caring and experienced hands of a staff of gracious people who want your stay to be perfect, as it will be.

When we first arrived (late) our names were written in chalk on the welcome board, and a very kind seguridad met us and carried our luggage to our room after leading the way for our car to the parking spot. Every moment of our week we felt totally comfortable coming to the staff of Nueva Vida with any questions, requests, anything. Always welcoming. The first night we also decided to have a walk on the beach in the moonlight, and upon returning and looking around for the path back to our bungalow, a seguridad watching over from the lifeguard tower shone a light for us so we could see the way. So much care!!! We set up massages one day, and the practitioners came right to our room, set up on the porch and were so sweet and kind, made us feel completely relaxed, so grateful.

The complimentary 'continental breakfast' at Casa Banana is nothing like it is on this continent or the Euro continent. We indulged every morning on fresh espresso, fresh wood fire baked bread with butter and jam, sliced papaya, star fruit, cantaloupe, pineapple and banana, with a side of fresh fruit juice. Chino was on the beachfront every afternoon to take our orders for guacamole, cervesa, and whatever else we may desire.

We have traveled the world over, and go different places in the winter, but we can't wait to come back here. We are already planning to come back next year, and will stay at Nueva Vida.

Room Tip: We stayed in Pajaro Azul, which was perfect for us. It had a queen bed and an upstairs with a hammo...

We spent our honeymoon at Nueva Vida and couldn't have been happier about our choice. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. Many thanks to Carolina and Ricardo who we felt went out of their way to be accommodating. They worked with us to arrange an excursion in the biosphere reserve, go scuba diving, and rent bicycles. We stayed in the corazon zone and the rooms are beautiful and spacious, the balcony patio heaven! We were very happy with the layout of the resort and that they kept the natural vegetation. We checked out many other hotels while we were there and each time we saw another place the fact that we made the right decision staying at Nueva Vida was reinforced. The hotel is at a great location, a few steps from Sunday night salsa dancing at La Zebra and delicious meals at Hartwood. This place has got to be one of the nicest places in Tulum. Casa Banana provides a great simple, but delicious breakfast, and Chino our waiter was great he also served us ice cold beers on the beach in the afternoon. Fantastic!

I went to Tulum to relax and enjoy the beautiful views but unfortunately I initially booked into a dank and blah cabana. I needed to upgrade and Nueva Vida de Ramiro was the perfect spot. Our room was beautifully decorated and we were provided with lush towels, organic artisan bath products, a delicious breakfast in bed, beach towels and even a beach bag. This hotel has an amazing beach front with multiple relaxation spots consisting of a covered mattress to lay on, an umbrella, two chairs and a little table. Everything you need! After my first hotel experience, this place was an absolute dream. My only complaints are that the room is very dark and as we were packing (the door was open), three random workers just walked in without a word and started spraying chemicals down our sink, toilet and shower. That was off-putting but likely does not happen often.

I got married in Tulum on November, so we decided to stay at Nueva Vida. We rented 8 rooms for our families and friends and our experience was amazing. The service was great, the place is a piece of Paradise, and everyone had a great time. We liked the place so much that we decided to stay there for the first three days of our Honeymoon.

Special thanks to Carolina, excellent job!!!

We have had the opportunity to enjoy the hotel Nueva Vida in Tulum. A perfect location on the beach. With a lovely large terrace with wonderful views of the beach and ocean. The hotel had a nearby restaurant with wonderful food all made from scratch. Without the extra costs they carried out breakfast to our patio so we could sit and enjoy both a fresh breakfast and a lovely view. It will be hard to beat this.
