along with some small tailess pig thinds and cuiti mudis playing in the trrees sometimes walking across the road infront of you.The down side mosies and ants bite like mad but all in all a great holiday

After being in Fort Lauderdale for 3 weeks (rain everyday and very cloudy), we decided to book 3 weeks in Playa Del Carmen. This was my third time in Playa (we've been to Cabo, Ixtapa, and Cancun). We love the "little village" fell and you'll find EVERYTHING you need in Playa. The beaches are amazing and the weather is perfect.

We are staying in a beautiful condo, right next to the beach (Mamitas) and a short walk from the 5Th Avenue. The thing we really love is the fact that in Playa you CAN DO everything without a car. Everything is just a short walk away. It is a very safe place, but as usual, using common sense (like anywhere else) is recommended. You'll find the people in Playa very welcoming and friendly.

There are many adventures and tours in Playa. Tulum is a must (visit the ruins on the side of the ocean), Coba, Chichen Itza, Xel-Ha is a natural marine park. Xcaret, also a must see. You can gold, dive, ride ATV's, zip line, go fishing... Activities for everyone.

We really DON'T like all-inclusives, so we booked a condo, through BRIC Rental. We are REALLY well traveled (we like to be pampered) andI have to say that dealing through BRIC for the condo was a blessing. From the pickup at the airport, snacks waiting for us in the condo, local cell phone with al important numbers pre-programmed (and credits), a binder with every info about recommended restaurants, tours... We have a concierge taking very good care of us too. I HIGHLY recommend BRIC Rental (ask for Stephanie), to fullfill all your needs in Playa.

Just returned from a three night stay at the Royal June 4-7th. Before I get to the resort I want to complement the group from Cancun Valet. We had a group of employees with us and it went flawless for pickup and return. Thanks so much, we'll see you again at Xmas.

We did have some small room issues at check in as a few room categories were overbooked on our arrival. After some negotiations we were all settled and ready to begin relaxing. The grounds and location are superb. Drinks and wait staff easy to locate. Enough room to find chairs at pool and beach. A shout out to Vite. He's one great employee and we wish we could bring him back to the states. Loved the options for dining it is better than other all inclusive. If we could change one thing it would be more air conditioning at the breakfast buffet and the dinner at Marie, Marie. We had a great time hanging at the pool or beach. Can't say we watch the shows as we usually walked into town. The best extra for this resort is its prime location. We would return to this all inclusive.

I have just returned from this area for the sixth year and 2 and 3 times a year in the past 3 years. It's is one of the most beautiful areas in all of Mexico with it's ocean reefs, cenotes, caves, natural resouces, flora, etc. This is a plea for the tourists to return and see the beauty, support the area and experience a truly wonderful vacation. Don't let the scare of the flu keep you away as there is no evidence of flu south of Cancun or in Cozumel. Just take the same precautions as you do at home and remember that Mexico is a large country and most of what you hear about is happening in the more northern, rural states of Mexico. It's sad to see so many business, restaurants, excursion companies closed due to lack of tourist participation. This area is clean, safe and in desperate need to return to more normal conditions. And remember it's difficult here as well as many travel companies are having a difficlut time. So take your vacation to Mexico and have a truly wonderful time. There is no reason to avoid this amazing area.
