We did the Tulum Extreme, we started off getting picked up by our guide for the day, a great guy named David who was one of the best tour guides I've ever met. He kept us updated as to where we were, where we were going and how long things were going to take all day long. He was spectacular! We picked up everybody in Cancun and headed out to Playa Del Carmen to stop off at the Aventuras Mayas office for a restroom stop, a snack, some coffee or water and to pick up our Archeological Guide Horatio. We ran late due to traffic but our guides were totally prepared for this kind of thing and we never knew any different. Our first stop was Tulum and it was awesome. Horatio was an excellent guide who imparted his extensive knowledge of the site with humor and actively involving his tour group. After touring the ruins, we hopped back into the van and off to do our zip lining and rappelling. David was fantastic getting all of us outfitted in our harnesses up the many stairs to do our 3 zip lines. The zip lining was loads of fun and I felt totally safe. The rappelling was a little harder just trying to figure out how to do it properly, but with 3 separate safety measures in place, I wasn't worried, I knew I was in good hands. After that we went off to snorkel in a cenote. I have never done this before and it was amazing!! David was more than happy to share all of his knowledge with us and once he found out I was fascinated by the fruit bats hanging out on the ceiling of the cenote, he was making sure I got a good look at them and explained to me what kind of bats they were and all about them. The cenote was amazing!! The water was crystal clear and you could see all the way to the bottom, it was an amazing experience. Our adventure with David and Aventuras Mayas ended with a delicious Mexican buffet. A day well spent and I would absolutely do it again! Thanks so much again to David and Horatio!!!!
