We just spent a family week at the beautiful Royal Haciendas. We have sons from 25 to 31 and they had a great week. Several went diving and said it was some of the best diving in the world. Sharks were plentiful on one dive as the guides fed them as my family watched from a safe distance. Golfing was a highlight at the new Grand Coral course next door for some of us also. Very well taken care of and fun to play. 5th ave. in Playa is always a hit as well. The only down side was the wireless internet needs to be upgraded as it was so slow during hours when many were using it. Very clean resort with many amenities. The spa is over the top also and my wife enjoyed that again this year. You will love the feel for any age family.

Dive Balam are awesome to go out and dive with. They are fun, organized, safety minded and know the area. Ther dive boat and dive gear is current and in excellent shape. The Shark dive was a blast and Christian takes video of all of it as well as the second dive on the reef which was amazing as well. I purchased a copy of the video and was glad I did. The quality is first rate. I'm an Instructor and have hundreds of hours diving all over the world and these guys rock. No BS.

We have been coming to Royal Resorts for years. As usual the service is excellent. We own a timeshare here and we do feel,the way they advertise- it is like coming home. We have been to RIU all inclusive in Cancun & that is totally different. The regular rooms there aren't as nice as Royal Hacienda, but their buffets are better. The drinks at RIU are terrible- only beer is good. We are not big drinkers, but if we do have a glass of wine or drink here the quality is good. There are better & more shows & action at RIU, but it is a huge, impersonal all-inclusive party place. Royal Hacienda focuses on family. You can play all day- swim, volleyball, snorkel, ping pong, activities for kids, teens, adults, classes & evening activities till about 10pm. We had fun at karaoke last night. If you prefer constant action & more partying, this is not for you. But, if you want a place that you can bring your kids & grandkids too & have a balance of activities- you will love it here. We visited Xcaret also & I recommend that- great evening show & lots of natural beauty & activities.

We come here year after year because this AWESOME Resort has everything!! Great 2 bedroom suites with a kitchen, dinning and living room. Several pools, warm jacuzzis for kids and adults, AWESOME beach frontage, great activities for the kids they look forward to year after year, great adult activities if you ever want to leave your beach chair and waiters that will serve you where ever you are. Very close to town for a change of pace occasionally. We will be back next year for our 8th visit. OH!! The Spa cannot be beat!!
