“Great Hotel and Staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2014

We stayed at Casa de las Flores for 8 days, and can only recommend it. Highlights are the 2 staff members we dealt with...Morgana and Manuel.
Morgana knows her job inside and out, and works really hard to ensure a smooth and pleasant stay. She helped us book all our trips, asking questions and going out of her way for us, always with a smile....great job!
Manuel is the best housekeeper....amazing towel Origami animals welcomed us every day, which were really complex. Room was spotless, and he always flashed a smile.

Lowlights...Breakfast is really terrible....always the same cornflakes and choco puffs, fruits, plain yogurt, bread and cakes...all get very stale in the humidity quickly. Coffee is super weak. Expresso is 25 mxp. This hotel caters to a lot of European guests who love their coffee and pastries. There is a wonderful Italian coffee shop close by to the hotel, near the Beer Garden. We used to go there for our breakfast. When you have an early morning tour, or a dive, this breakfast is not really adequate. You can do much much better!

Otherwise, a nice place to stay.

A very lovely and relaxing place, good location, internet in the lobby, clean. Staff is very helpful and friendly. A few do not speak English, but they still try to help. There was a girl who was giving me a lot of advises regarding my further trip and checking bus and boat schedule in the internet to help me out. Very lovely place to unwind!

The staff & location was perfect! Very spacious room & awesome shower. First time to Playa & so close to the beach, fifth ave & safe. The beach was beautiful & close to Cozumel which was great snorkeling on the day trip on a catamaran. Check out Tulum & the neighboring water/river park Xel-Ha'. The best day trip ever!!!

We stayed at Casa de las Flores the last week in Feb. We had a king bed room on the main floor. It was spacious room with a small fridge which was really handy. We brought a small coffee maker. The bathroom was very large, the shower had good pressure and lots of hot water. There is a large open closet for hanging your clothes. Our room was very quiet. As others have mentioned all the rooms surround the courtyard. The pool is small, but a good place to cool off. The staff were excellent. The price was right and the location was very handy for getting around town and to the many beach clubs.

Spent our first 3 nights here, fresh off the plane. Check in was very smooth and went well, was on the 1st floor as we had requested. Our room # 102 was clean and beds comfortable except that the shower floor was worn painted over concrete so we preferred to shower with our flip flops on. This would end up to be our only concern... they should put down some rubber mats in the shower. We ended up loving this place, staff very friendly, beautiful grounds, clean pool, great location. You can walk to 5th ave, two bus stations and all the shopping and restaurants you can think of.

Our room included a continental breakfast, which we were happy to have, a coffee and juice before heading out for eggs and such. They also had cereal, toast and cake but cannot comment as we didn't have any.

Morgana was a huge help when I purchased a cell phone and getting us a taxi willing to take us a very short distance.

We stayed one night in Playa del Carmen and chose this small hotel. The hotel is a few blocks walk from the bus station. The buildings are beautiful with a nice garden and pool in a central courtyard. The rooms were nice and I liked the natural cream and shampoo that was in the room. Wifi was available in the lobby area. We paid about 100.00 for the night. They did offer breakfast for an additional fee (approx 3.00), but we went elsewhere. What made it only average was the lack of interest from the front desk staff.
