Veneno Vil is not about the meal, which truly enraptures your senses, but is truly a celebration of Mexico. Flavors and aromas that just bewitch your tongue and nose and just get in your brain. Ruben, the brilliant chef orchestrating this seductive meal, will be guiding you through this experience as he introduces you to a Mexico unknown to you. For me, it started with the mineral water, "agua de piedra" , a mineral water like no other. Then , it was our introduction to Mexican wines at the hand of Ruben, that after confessing to him that we like Malbecs and Montepulcianos, he introduced us to a wonderful red. Then we started in our "menu de degustacion", the sample menu. Every dish was exceptional, as I could taste the fresh herbs, the wonderful flavors of the cheeses, meats, fishes and vegetables.To close,Ruben brought to the table an amazing jewel: a ten year old mezcal !
Our visit was to celebrate my 50Th birthday on May 10th,and my heart came out celebrating Mexico.
