We stayed here on a Tuesday night. The hotel courtyard was very charming. The room was super clean. Mattress was comfortable but the pillows were a little lumpy. Water pressure was great, but we had to wait a little bit for water to heat up. Air conditioner worked great, so did the ceiling fan. Staff was friendly. The pool was too small to swim in unless your were a child, but it was pretty and added to the ambiance. We could not get wifi in our room, but got it outside our door (room 312). The location is super convenient to the ferry and bus. For the price, it was great. Far exceeded my expectations. We did not experience any noise during the night as a couple of the other reviews noted.

My boyfriend and I stayed two nights here and both loved it! The decor is charming, it's location is very convenient just off of 5th Ave, but located just far back enough to not deal with all the noise. The staff was very friendly and the hotel is nicely kept & clean. The only inconvenience is if you are driving, you have to pay to park or take your car to their main hotel (about 5 blocks away) and walk back. Overall, great place to stay!

Stumbled upon this gem, on a side street, 1 minute from 5th Ave. At 100.00US a night it was not cheap, but at peak season - to be expected. It is an authentic, Mexican style hotel with rooms around a central courtyard, with lots of color. AC and ceiling fan worked fine. No elevator - our room on the 3rd floor corner was spacious with a cupola in the ceiling and a balcony. Everything very clean.

Downside - chilly, small pool in the central courtyard - doubt anyone ever uses it, but it looks nice.

Sister property 4 blocks away offers free parking - a nice perk.

Room Tip: Room with the cupola - 3rd floor was large and charming

What's not to love about this hotel?! We got in at 10pm and got a suite, paying less than expected for a beautiful room with a balcony. It's a great location, has a beautiful pool, enormous rooms with comfortable beds and friendly service. It'd be nice to have breakfast included, but perhaps it's not commonplace for hotels in this area.

I loved this hotel from the moment I saw it - it has a rustic, colorful Mexican style that I found really charming. It's a budget hotel - not a luxury hotel - but there are still lots of extras like a small swimming pool and an on-site bar and restaurant. For the price (about $40 USD + tax) I was really impressed by the room which was very spacious with a seating area with table and chairs. It had all the creature comforts including air-con, TV and hot water in the shower. The one thing that wasn't perfect was that the WiFi didn't work from my room on the 3rd floor. The location was also ideal for non-party people like me and the hotel was quiet at night but also a short walk to the bars, restaurants, and beach.

If I ever return to Playa del Carmen, I'll definitely be back.

Room Tip: If you want the WiFi to work from your room, stay on one of the lower floors.

Visited Mexico many times and have always wanted to stay at this beautiful place in Playa del carmen !

We were staying at the Eldorado seaside suites for two weeks
But decided this was the time to stay for a night, we were not disappointed the rooms were as colourful as the outside and inside decor of this hotel truly wonderful
The staff were very pleasant and we had some drinks at the bar just inside the hotel.
We were amazed at the cost for the night just £37 !!!
We will definitely be coming back on our next Mexican holiday !!

A truly Mexican experience !

Stayed two nights early December. Great spot if you are arriving or leaving on the ADO bus, as the station is nearby. Easy access to 5th ave. and the beach. Not sure I would spend my entire vacation here. But for a couple of days it works for me.
