Staying at Hotel Las Golondrinas made my vacation the best experience possible. All of the staff were extremely helpful in whatever I needed. The hotel was kept spotless, the continental breakfast was very appealing, and all of the people there treated me as a special guest. I was able to ask questions about the local area and get the best recommendations from those working at the hotel. The hotel was very comfortable and within walking distance of all of the shopping areas and the beach. As an American, I was very happy when I was directed to WalMart! I will definitely recommend Hotel Las Golondrinas to all that are traveling there.

Managed to get amazingly cheap last min deal on 'allocated on arrival' accomodation in Playa Del Carmen
We were a bit worried at first when the bus stopped off at all the swish resorts on the coast but were miles away from any other civilization and were very pleasently surprised when we got to Las Golondrinas as the hotel is no more than 10 mins (max) walk into Playa del Carmen main street and beach which is fantastic

The hotel itself is fairly basic but clean and quiet. Our room was huge with 2 large double beds just for the 2 of us. the a/c was ok but the room was back facing so was in the shade anyway. The swimming pool is pretty tiny and the Breakfast wasn't up to much more than toast & tea but we weren't expecting any more than this.

so in a nutshell - nothing special on the hotel, but clean, quiet and convenient for it's * rating and price.

The Las Golondrinas Hotel is a very charming one. The patio is really cute, and peaceful with the pool and the sound of the fountain and very beautiful at night with the lights on the trees.
The hotel is kept really really clean, the beds are comfy, the area is safe and close to everything. The desk is very helpful. The breakfast buffet is very pleasant as well.
I recommand it, 2 thumbs up !

This was the last hotel we stayed at while on the Yucatan Pennisula, and it was about like all the other hotels. The rooms were small, but very clean. The maids were great, if you left a tip, then the left flowers in your room. They were stingy on their towels, and it was impossible to get an extra pillow. The pool was small, but nice, and there wasn't any place to get any sun.
The location of this hotel is great!! It was about five minutes of a walk from fifth avenue, the best place in Playa del Carmen to shop, and 10 minutes from beach...Overall it was a good hotel.
