This little outdoor gem serves amazing food, the owner speaks multiple languages and is very informative with where to go, see, do, eat, where is safe to travel in South America and delivers it all with a friendly smile and brilliant service! You will not regret it!

“Outside dining - Great Mexican food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

Relaxed outside dining. We ate there at night and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable and the staff are all very accomodating.
Would highly recommend that you step outside of the "chain type" restaurants and relax in an authentic outdoor Mexican setting with locals and tourist mingling.

“Favourite place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

Our group of 6 has been here twice this visit to playa. A real great spot for local sea food with shrimp being the house special. We have tried almost all the shrimp dishes btwn us and all enjoyed. We have also had the fish and chicken and both good as well. this is a local place so not fancy, gravel on the ground and shakey chairs but food is what is important. Prices very good as locals eat here as well.

Ok, so if you are looking for a real goood value out of the way place to get a great fresh seafood meal...say no more...the fact that it is directly across the street from the fish market is no coincidence but it sure helps. while you are there try the revolver ...Amazing!

“A Great New Mexican Seafood Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

This is our first restaurant west of 30th Ave. Highly rated in the playa.info food forum we ventured up 34th. St. to this attractive little restaurant on the north corner of 35 Ave. Wooden tables (with slightly hard wooden chairs) are spread around an attractive outdoor courtyard. The specialties are shrimp of course. One of the most interesting was the 'revolver' appetizer which we were given to sample - free of charge I might add. Think of it as a shrimp shooter - there is a shrimp in Clamato juice in a shot glass rimmed with lime juice and a secret spice blend, finished with a thin slice of jalapeno. Shoot it back and experience an incredible taste sensation - I was really impressed. The owner and chef, Fernando is very friendly and is very enthusiastic about his cooking. We also tried the Chimichangas de Jamaica which were deep-fried pastry filled with shredded Jamaica (hibiscus flowers also used for a tasty Agua) and spices - tasty and kind of reminded me of red cabbage in texture if not exactly in taste. The signature dish - Camaron Caramelo - presents deep fried shrimp with a strawberry cream drizzle circling a mound of spiced rice. I had the Cameron Baracho with onions & peppers in a tequila cream sauce - also tasty. Lots for other seafood dishes and a few non-seafood dishes that will appeal to most people. We will definitely be going back. Give it a try - inexpensive, delicious and something a little different. The total cost with 3 beer and tip (thank you Rosy) was 330 P.
