“A club inside your room”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2014

The main attraction is the cost, it is cheap compared to others, but it's right next to lots of clubs, so you won't be able to sleep unless you're really drunk, so make sure you drink a lot if you want to rest for the next noisy night. I wouldn't recommend it at all.

The noise is extremely loud! its impossible to get some sleep. The manager claudia something is very rude. This is not for people who wants to rest and sleep. The breakfast is also terrible and poo, you end up going somewhere else

First, the GOOD... the STAFF, they are very friendly and helpful. We had a number of problems (see below under "BAD") and they did their very best to solve problems immediately. From the front desk to the cleaning ladies, everyone was very nice and accommodating. We had to change rooms, twice, and were offered a bottle of wine for our trouble. This bumped up my rating from POOR to AVERAGE. The room was definitely as clean as is possible in such a 'rustic' place - at the rate the termites are eating through the wood, you may want to visit the hotel soon! Soap/Shampoo were provided, as were clean towels and changed daily. The housekeeping staff really tried their best to make the rooms as nice and clean as possible. Location is definitely in the party zone. Each disco competing to be the loudest until 4-5 am EVERYDAY! As a result, there are people around (and usually police) all the time. You feel safe. (After having the unfortunate experience, during my visit, of witnessing two young women being robbed on the main strip around 4am by a known drug dealer, I was happy to be in such a well attended location. Honestly, ladies BE CAREFUL, do not take money out of a bank machine at 4 am! No one is going to help you - it is too dangerous for them to intervene, these drug dealers carry weapons!) The beach is only a block away (not a very nice beach to swim - too much seaweed, but nice area to have drink/lunch/etc.) The cost of room was pretty cheap for location, but there is definitely NO room service, unless you are talking about room cleaning service. There is a nice 'high quality fast food' restaurant open late across the street, serving up 'poutine'! (It was actually pretty good poutine.)

Next, the BAD... the LOCATION... it is noisy, noisy, noisy. If you want to sleep from 10am to 4pm daily, you'll be fine, very quiet area. Between 4pm to 5am, either join the party or buy some ear plugs. Also be prepared to have your room cleaning bright and early or bring your own sign in Spanish to leave on door for the maid (no door hangers provided here). AC broke down in the first room and the second and third, they made even more noise to add to the cacaphony of sounds outside. We had to change rooms after first night (to a front room closer to the music, so much for sleeping). Next day, AC still broken, so changed rooms again for remainder of stay (thank goodness it was a rear room, relatively quiet there). The place is OLD, the furniture is OLD, the linen is OLD, the AC/TV are OLD, it is 2-star hotel at best. The decor could be best describes as truck stop/roadside motel, circa 1970.

Finally, the UGLY... smoking is permitted in the rooms. Our room reeked of smoke. It was horrible. Most of the 'terraces' are useless balconies facing a brick wall. I would just assume not have one, the locks look like they've been broken on more than one occasion.

RECOMMENDATION: I would likely not stay here again, BUT, if I were under 30, coming for a party, in a safe location, near all the action, for a decent price, I would.

Room Tip: ask for rear room... away from the front of hotel.

Very bad location you have 5 open extremely loud nightclubs surrounding the hotel and they close at 6am!!!! If you are lucky. Then the maid begins knocking at your door at 9am. You just dont get any sleep!!!!!!!!

Located in the middle of the party zone, 2 min away from the beach, 3 min away from 5th Ave, very clean, small mediterranean boutique hotel, with a terrace upstairs that overlooks all the clubs on 12th Street....it has a large suite room on the last floor, private, terrace overlooks the beach, the rooms have good furniture, A/C, T.V., hot and cold water, room service including towels and other, laundry service, restaurant service next door, friendly guest service, good for parties and people who want to party, music is loud in the area, its a party zone, continental breakfast and beach club access included in the price, ask for special rates depending on season!!

Room Tip: ask to see the rooms

The hotel located in the clubs area and very close to the beach, the purpose of my trip were beaches and parties - so it was perfect for me!
The employees were very very kind and help me.
The room was very clean and high-level, the service was perfect.

I can definitely recommend this hotel!(:

This hotel is right smack dab in the middle of the disco, club area. There is loud techno music from several clubs from 4:00 pm to 4:00 am. Even my 25 years old daughter thought it was too much. The club scene was fun but stay a few blocks away!
