We stayed Be Playa for a week. Overall, the hotel is in a great location, nicely decorated, the rooms were a good size and the staff was really nice. However, a few of the issues we encountered (mainly noise) made the stay not so great.
The first night that we arrived (Fri), there was a party on the rooftop and the music was so loud that it sounded like the club was literally in our room. The music was blasting until 1am-2am and we constantly heard people walking up and down the stairs. Needless to say, we didn't get enough sleep that night. The second night we encountered the same situation but the music wasn't as loud so it was tolerable.
The room we stayed in had a door connecting it to another room. The door wasn't sound proof and I could hear the people staying in the room next to me.
Third, the A/C started making a weird noise starting on the second night thought the whole night. At this point, that seemed that this was the most tolerable until the noise for louder on our last night (sounded like the A/C was breaking) on and off that I felt compelled to write a review.
We tried for a couple of days to see if we could switch rooms. Since we were catching the tail end of the BPM Festival, the hotel was booked. Once rooms became available they didn't have a double available so we we're some what stuck. We could have looked for a new room but decided not go through the hassle but lookin back, we should have switched hotels.
Overall, the hotel is in a great location. The room is decorated very nicely but the noise was so bad that it outweighed the positives. I've read reviews where this want a problem for people. Perhaps they were in a better room. If we were right by the stairs or have a connecting room next to us, I think we would have enjoyed our stay a lot more.
