“Good food, good people and charmy place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2012 via mobile

The waiters helped with their kindness. The chief is pretty good... How could a fish be so delicious? We strongly reccomend the Empacotado. Close to the 5th avenue (1block) and on the 24 street, it's just a small walk from the main strret.

“New Menu!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

I love it here and now that they have changed their menu I love it even more! We stayed 11 days at Aventura Mexicana with the VIP and never ran out of new food to try...though we had our favorites. Things you must try: Crab Tostadas, Pura Vida Pizza (calamari wrapped tuna, cilantro + chipotle sauce), Crepes, Chorizo Mac + Cheese, Fish Empapelado, Chef's Challenge and the Bananas Mexican (their version of bananas foster). Also, they now serve Negra Modelo, and Modelo Especial on tap.
The food is great but the staff is equally amazing. They have a gem of a new manager named Chris. His positive energy is infectious. My husband spent his mornings this vacation with him working out on the beach. He also taught my daughter to surf!!!!
We love Dora in the morning. She remembers my daughters name each and every time we go and for parents that is such a wonderful thing. Go for the food but take the time and get to know the staff.

Good food cooked to order, local and international variety. You can dine in or eat in the court yard, a lounge is being put together next door that also looks chrming.

“Good food, so so service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

Most of what we tried at the Mayan Bistro was delicious. The only downside was the slow service. They seemed to always be understaffed during lunch and dinner hours. So expect a slow paced meal. Wouldn't recommend eating here if you're in a hurry. But, other than that, the food and drinks were good.
