My wife and I stayed at Aventura Mexicana September 7 to 21 and elected to purchase the VIP all inclusive plan. We were expecting to eat out at least 50% of the time, however the food was so good that we spent most nights at the Mayan Bistro.
The food on the menu was a good selection of Fish, Pasta and Meat. Loved the Carbonara and Arabiata Pasta's, as well as many of the fish dishes we tried.. One night I ordered a Filet which is not included in the VIP plan, the price was reasonable and the Filet was large and extremely juicy. Chef Marco invited me to try the Lamb one evening and all I can say is WOW, it was encrusted in goat cheese and spinach and was nothing short of incredible. Chef Marco made us a special Last Night Dinner including Shrimp and Scallops in a mild curry, a crab bisque and Squid stuffed with Salmon and Asparaus, it was the best meal I have had in years. The breakfast menu is extensive and offers everything from american style eggs, pancakes, fruits, yogarts omlets as well as some Chef Marco Egg Creations that are out of this world.
The staff..... Of course Chef Marco, the best bartender in Playa Aldo and for breakfast and lunch Service Dora and Andrea serve up delicious drinks and food. My wife and I have elected to return to the Aventura Mexicana in May 2012 and purchase the VIP plan, The People at the Mayan Bistro made this decision Too Easy.
