“Excellent Food, Great Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2012

My wife and I had a very enjoyable lunch at this wonderful little Italian restaurant which is just a few paces east of 5th Avenue in PDC. We started with a Greek salad which was made from really fresh, crispy bell peppers (red, green & yellow), crunchy cucumbers, feta cheese, and a great balsamic & olive oil dressing. It was accompanied by very warm foccacia bread served straight from the oven. We then shared a delicious pizza made with mozarella, parmesan & gorgonzola cheeses. The service was superb.

We will be back to this little gem very soon.

“Excellent prices”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

My husband and I had a lovely dinner al fresco. The food was plentiful and delicious and quite inexpensive. Dinner for two with entrees, drinks and appetizers was around $30 USD.

“Quiet restaurant with generous meals at good prices”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2012

We chose this restaurant because it is located away from the hordes of tourists along Calle 5. After we ordered, I was unsure; there was only one other table occupied at the restaurant so we didn't know what to expect. But we were pleasantly surprised. We shared a bottle of wine and two fantastic pizzas. The food was only surpassed by the service, which was attentive without being overbearing. Would highly recommend to those who are a little tired of Mexican food.

“A Great Find in Playa Del Carmen!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2012

My husband and I just returned from 6 nights in Playa Del Carmen...our first trip there! It was our last night and we were looking for something special, away from the hustle and bustle of 5th Avenue, and kind of had our hearts set on Italian food. So we just started walking and checking out the side streets for something we might not have seen on our dozens of strolls down 5th Avenue during the week. Luna Rossa caught our eye, just a few steps off the main street so we walked over for a closer look. What a great find! We were met at the entrance by Edmundo, who turned out to be our waiter for the evening. He was so kind and helpful as we made our dinner selections. The pastas are all homemade and we had a very nice, very affordable meal! Edmundo prepared a wonderful salad right at our table. For our main course, my husband had a shrimp fettuccine dish and I had ravioli with a shrimp and creamy sauce. It was the best dinner we had all week. The atmosphere was perfect, the food was great! Don't miss this place!
