“Nice courtyard trattoria”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2013

The courtyard setting just off 5th avenue is good.
The menu choice is not huge but more than enough to cover meat, fish and veggies.
Lasagne was disappointing tho, too much sauce not enough meat+pasta.

“Buonissimo!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

First of all, the location is just perfect. It is off Fifth Avenue, right into a little alleyway facing an art gallery. Not noisy at all.

The food is simply amazing, great NORTHERN Italian cuisine.

We had the dry rose wine, 2 sodas, caprese salad, caesar salad, 2 lasagnas, ravioli con porcini e tartufo, spaghetti a la bolognese, gelato di vaniglia, tiramisu. Yum. Complimentary bruschetta and bread. All for $150 including tip.

The price was not outrageous at all for a high quality meal with great service and a lovely location.

My food discriminating kids loved it so I highly recommend this place!!!!

“One of the best”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

We have been to Playa del Carmen many times, and this restaurant is one of our must stop places. Because it is hard to find, it is never crowded. The pastas a great. It isn't the cheapest in Playa, but you always know it will be good.

“Don't miss this !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013

Stumbled on the sign pointing out this wee treasure as we strolled along 5th Avenue. It's on the beach side next to an art shop/gallery.Restaurant is in a small quiet courtyard off the main street. Unlike the majority of restaurants in town we were allowed to look at the menu in peace without being hassled to come in. The owner simply said"Just to let you know -we are closed on Tuesdays" then walked away-Deffinate brownie points there as far as we were concerned!
Having already eaten at the hotel we were not looking to eat that night-just looking for some options to escape the "all inclusive" another night. In fact the restaurant was,so good we went twice.
Food was excellent -one of the best Italian meals I have ever had and service was faultless. Wine was great and not overpriced.
If you are in Playa Carmen do not miss this wonderful restaurant. It's a real gem !

“Best restaurante in Playa”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

Withouth any doubt, this is a hidden treasure. Excellent food and terrific service by the owners. You can´t ask for more. We have been going once a year since 2008 during our annual week in Playa del Carmen. Starting last December, we go twice. It´s worth it!
