A group of grad students and physicians traveled from Michigan to volunteer at a local clinic. I was a bit nervous about where we would end up staying. However, right when I walked in the door, I knew I was one lucky girl!! The hotel is adorable, small, friendly, and very clean. Our group was spread all over 5th, and my hotel room was one of the best. There is air that gets as cold as you want it, the beds are white down, the shower is all glass and really nice. It is 4 stories tall, with the 4th floor all being open. There is a spot to lay out and shower. This is also where they serve breakfast every morning. On the bottom floor is an outdoor pool that is surrounded by the hotel. It is smaller but very private. I never walked in or out of the place without a hotel staff sitting at the front desk. One day, they even lent an umbrella because it was raining. I would definitely stay here again!

Casa Ticul is the best option to stay in playa del carmen if what you are looking for is to be treated and feel as at home. the place is charming, the hotel personal is always looking forward to make your experience unique. you can walk to the beach or stay enjoying the beautiful swimming pool.

We loved staying at Casa Ticul. Being on the North end of 5th Ave, it was quiet and very relaxing. The beach was close by and the rooms were clean and very comfortable. The staff were excellent in arranging anything we wanted. The breakfast was small, but acceptable, but we had to pay 3 dollars for it. We would stay here again. Try out the Uruagayan Restaurant around the corner. Great Steaks!

this was our first time to mexico and we were'nt sure what to expect. we stayed in this hotel on our way back to cancun to catch our plane. the staff was excellent. she made sure we had a reputable ride back to the airport and helped us with info on finding a atm machine and even had pepto for my husbands upset stomach. this hotel is alittle farther down the 5th avenue strip which made it nice for a quite walk at night.

we stayed for 2 nights to explore cozumel and playa abit befroe heading south to a more rustic adventure in tulum....

this place is great, super nice, clean, comfy and staff very nice and helpful, i also agree with all the other comments about the location.

overall a great place would def stay again, and if you are staying durin glow season ask for the awesome low season rates around 800 pesos
