After looking at many different hotels in Merida we found this gem. Friendly staff, nice ambiance, a place taken care of with love. It is right at the heart of the city. If you come by car they have a parking service, for a small charge per day. Compared to other hotels in the area this is dirt cheap with a lot of value. Well maintained central hall, garden, bar area, pool, hammocks, and great view at the cathedral.
The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated, good beds, yet they do not have a window (so set an alarm to wake up, you might think the night lasts for ever :-)). Some parts might need a bit of paint again, especially some parts of the walls.
Airco from kitchen below does make a LOT of noice, i would recommend management to work on this to add to the feel of an oasis. Now it is just a constant annoying noise even at night, we had the top room just above the kitchen(302) and you just keep on hearing it all night long.
Keep up the good work!
