“Delicious Italian food with many options”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2013

This is a favorite place of ours. There are specialties, like lasagna, pizzas and a 'create your own pasta' option. You choose from house-made pastas and the sauce you want.

The tomato based sauces seem to be the best ones, especially the one with beef and bacon. This is probably my favorite. The Arrabiata is very tasty, as well. The creamy sauces sometimes aren't consistent with flavor from visit to visit. Also, every now and then things can be a bit salty. However, we dine here frequently and we love being able to sit outside on Montejo.

I can't speak highly enough of the staff!

A charming spot at night, with great food, good wine and helpful wait staff. Prices were very reasonable.

“is it the best, i don't think so, but it's good”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

it's a good choice if you're in the area, but not worth a trip from across town certainly. the pizzas were a little silly - we ordered one with nuts and it came with probably 50 walnuts. obviously we scraped off most of them. the pasta was authentically prepared and our sauces were good (pesto and bolognese), though a bit expensive for a lunch. dinner was more understandable. (we went twice because the lunch was good)

“Delicious with good location and saved using City Passport coupon book”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

My husband and I found this restaurant to be located in an easy-to-find location (who doesn't enjoy driving along Paseo de Montejo in the evening?) and quite delicious. It was recommended to us by a local Merida friend. We were additionally pleased to find that Trattoria La Pasta has three coupons in the City Passport coupon book we purchased. We used the coupon that gives you a mixed bruschetta fungi trifolati appetizer and garlic bread for free if you spend more than 80 pesos (only about $6.50 U.S.). I see they have another coupon in the book for two glasses of wine for free if you order more than 80 pesos. We're thinking of going again the next few nights to take our time enjoying our free wine watching the horse-drawn carriages pass by! It is a relaxing evening to sit outside in the warm breeze.

“Good bet for good home made Italian food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

Nice small restaurant on famous Paseo de Montejo.
The place itself is pretty small but great terrace on the very large side walk.
Great selection of home made pasta and great thin crust pizza.
A coconut crème brulee for desert will make me come back for sure.
Good restaurant bet for lunch and diner at a very reasonable price .friendly service.
