HACIENDA TEMOZONItinerary Number: 18995126156* Folks,Just wanted to drop you a note with some feedback. My husband and I were AMAZED and delighted with Hacienda Temozon. It was elegant, serene, exquisite, the architects made a beautiful transition from crumbling colonial hacienda to exquiste hotel without destroying any of the charm and without leaving out one detail of luxury.The staff (who were of local Mayan descent) proved to be the true treasure. They were consistently wonderful service providers and additionally, wonderful friends to us.
They provided us with a view of Mayan culture today and to a person were kind, interesting, charming and personable.The maid staff made extravagant daily fresh flower arrangements, any request was not too much. For example when we inquired about the coconut grove in the back of the plantation, Nelson, one the dining room staff climbed a coco palm the next day, opened the fruit and made us fresh drinks of coco milk and sparkling water.Complimentary horse rides and bicyles rides through the countryside and swimming in the cenote a mere 20 metres in back of the pools were mere bonuses.I could go on and on but this beautiful, welcoming, rural hacienda was an amazing experience. We will never forget this experience of unequaled elegance.Starwood should be proud of Herman Reeling Brouwer (the manager of the hacienda's in the luxury collection), Alma Delia Flores Perez, concierge, as well as the beautiful teamwork in the staff that has been developed.When our flight from Merida was cancelled Alma went the extra mile, contacted AeroMexico, packed us a beautiful (complimentary) lunch and sent us on our way. When we got to the airport all was arranged perfectly.When we left the staff presented us with a gift of a beautiful Yucatan hammock and told us we were the best guests they'd ever had. Beautiful historic property from the 16th century. The room was huge and the staff very friendly and accomodating. Dinners under the stars were very romantic. Highly recommended especially if you are exploring the Puuc ruins.

Temozon is one of the most perfect places on earth! I reserved a room because it is a Starwood hotel, but they absolutelly exceeded our expectations.!!!

The only issue is that the staff does not speak fluent english, but there is no need! their natural smile and kindness to help in everything (without asking) made our stay a perfect one.

The hacienda is so beautiful that its very hard to explain. The Experience of service, food, decorations, and above all, the so many details that everyone can enjoy, is something hard to find.

Temozon is a perfect place in the Yucatecan Jungle! The sales manager is a perfect gentleman!

Superb, not admittedly as good as it's smaller cousins but still good. Helps if you can speak Spanish. However had a fantastic holiday renting a car and driving between the 4 haciendas in 'The Collection', exploring the wonderful sights. Forewarn you will get lost, as last hurricane blew away a number of the road signs and new roads have been built since the latest maps published. But there are only so many roads in the Yucatan, if you enter Campeche you know you've gone too far, double back and try the second left instead of the first and hey presto a sign appears guiding you to a hidden oasis of civilisation and indulgence in literally the middle of nowhere. Further driving in the Yucatan is safe, crime it seems is rare and more likely between tourists than perpetrated by locals
