I could say many things about the Dolores Alba from the "extra" fee they charge if you don't book via the internet (reception told us this) to the ridiculous internet fees that just seem to be there to gouge money from you in the middle of nowhere ( Internet is on a 10 min timer for 10 MXN Pesos but is insanely slow...everywhere else in Yucatan is 15 MXN for an hour!!!!). The hotel advertised a natural pool however, that was naturally full of leaves, debris and garbage! Amid all this it was the food and wait staff that was truly the worst experience of our trip. How can a restaurant charge $65 MXN for a cheeseburger, fries extra for $45 MXN and it's uncooked and red, we get no cutlery, I'm scared to ask for salt and let's just say any greesy spoon would have done it 10x better for half the cost BUT the real frustration was when I told the waiter about our uncooked and visably red burgers, he seem annoyed and didn't offer any solutions instead he ignored us for the rest of the night. I could go on but all I will say is, the rooms and setting were somewhat nice (pool is right by the highway) and I would recommend if you have a car so that you will never be inflicted with Dolores Alba's "restaurant".

Relatively good value , location and service , but the food was a completely disaster , bad quality ingredients combine with a terrible elaboration results in an unparalleled bad food imposible to eat. The Hotel staff did not offer me any discount despite I showed them the bad quality of the food including the dessert that I could not eat at all.
I also want to mention that the owner has two dogs defecating all over the common areas including but limited the restaurant.

This was a fine place to stay. I really like air conditioning and that worked so that is a big plus in my book. We had a group of 12 stay here and some of the girls were a little freaked out all the bugs that were seen scurrying around the room. The pool was very interesting and I wish I would of gotten a picture. I think this might be the best budget hotel in the area. Also the staff were very good about getting back to my emails.

Our family of four loved this hotel. It has two pools, including one very unique pool with geological formations at bottom Best part is gorgeous cenote right across the street. Food was very good. Good Mexican food as well as enough American food for picky kid eaters. Staff is very friendly. The rooms are very simple, but nice. Only issue is noise from highway. Right on (100 yards) from main road between Cancun and Merida and so very noisy with trucks in the early morning.

We stayed here 2 nights and had a wonderful time. The 2 pools are terrific with established gardens, shady trees and plentiful lounge chairs. Even have hammocks to rest in under shade. Very international clientele, only 5 mins drive from Chichen Itza. Private parking off road. Breakfast is a plate of fresh fruit, small scrambled eggs and ham, hot rolls and terrible tea and coffee. You eat your breakfast around the pool and you can order dinner as well. Reasonable food, wonderful outlook. Rooms are large, towels are threadbare, small safe is provided. Very friendly helpful staff, we felt very safe and relaxed there and the children loved our time there.
