My family and I recently returned from a five night stay at "Los Aluxes" hotel in Merida, Yucatan. The first night both my husband & myself saw small cockroaches in the bathroom at different intervals. The bathroom shower did not work and instead just dripped water on the bathroom floor when we tried to shower. The next day we changed to a different room in the same hotel and stayed there for the next four nights. The hotel staff was pleasant and the rooms were cleaned daily. But we wouldn't stay at this hotel again nor recommend it to others for an extended vacation.
