The hotel and rooms are all very clean, cold and without much style. But in the heat of Merida, this can be a welcome thing. The restaurant is pretty bad but you can ask to have an esperesso made. This may work and it may throw the staff into a tizzy.
My biggest complaint was that the internet was down in the hotel for 6 of our 7 days. This sounds like not much but we had to leave early and go to the nearby Sandborn's to use their free access. If this were a holiday, it wouldn't have been that big a deal but this was a working trip for me and it was a real drag having togo elsewhere for what is a basic service. Whenever I complained, they'd say it was the telephone company's problem. After two days, I would have made sure it was fixed if it were my hotel.
Complaints were met with a complete lack of concern.
Otherwise, fine. Cheap and the AC worked!
