Although I've been to various places in Mexico many times and have stayed at a variety of accommodations, I am happy to rate Casa Zuzy very highly for the price. Besides being clean, comfortable, new, spacious, and fully equipped with amenities, these apartments are cheerily decorated with colorful paint, furnishings, and artisan knicknacks. The bathrooms are spacious and modern, and each room has its own balcony. In addition, guests have access to a lovely rooftop with a great view of the city and the beach. Casa Zuzy is in a colonia, or residential neighborhood, a bit away from the Centro, offering a less touristy, more authentic experience of Isla. That said, it is 10 minutes' walk from Paya Lancheros, a lovely, considerably less crowded beach, with some great restaurants on it. One can also take the bus to the Centro, taking 15 minutes and costing 5 pesos, or a taxi for about 20 pesos.
My stay this time was unfortunately very short, but I can say without hesitation that Casa Zuzy is a place where one can happily stay any amount of time. Its simple, homey comfort, great price, and friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable owners, make one feel "como en su casa" (just like at home).
Casa Zuzy is a great choice to stay at Isla Mujeres!
