“Great little place--great for adults and kids”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2014

this is a turtle farm where they rescue turtles and provide them with water, food, and care. It costs just over 2 USD to get in. You can spend 30 minutes to an hour here but it's worth it. Don't let the negative comments fool you. If you want to see many species and colors of turtles swimming, this is worth your time. The money you pay to get in here helps to support their continued rescue efforts of these magnificent creatures. There are also some large aquariums filled with different types of fish, sea horses, lobsters, etc. They even have an aquarium full of fantastic creatures and a man that will pull them out and let you touch them and really get to know more about underwater life.

“See turtles & sea life up close”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2014

This small turtle sanctary is an interesting place to visit. I think the $30.00 pesos per person is reasonable. You see several different turtle types. I was surprised by a few of them. You also see other sea life such as various crabs, sea urchins, lobsters, sea horses and others. You can also touch and hold some of them, like sea urchins and horse shoe crab and others. There are guides to answer questions about the species on display. I believe the 30 pesos is well spent here.

Not a lot to see but worth a stop if in the area - some interesting fish and neat white turtles. Be sure to go inside - almost missed it but that's where you see the most

“Great little side trip!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2014

Small little area to get to see lots of turtles. Very small admission fee and I think that may have been optional. I'm not sure. Even if there was one, money raised goes to helping the turtles. Definitely worth the time and fun experience!!

4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2014

If you want to see what happens to the turtles of Cancun and Isla Mujeras this is the place to visit. The various breeds of turtle are kept here and you can see many other species form the local waters. Their policy is also not to cull any deformed turtles and you can many swimming around the pools set about the location. From newly born to large and their colours vary from white through to the typical colours we are used to. Well worth a visit in particular for children, where they can the value of preserving these beautiful creatures.
