“Wonderful Hotel with Great Seaviews”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2014

My wife and I loved it here. Very modern for Mexico with sundeck views that we couldn't get enough of.
Staff is very friendly and helpful and a short walk can take you to the ferry terminal, coffee shops and many great restaurants.
It's a wee bit noisy on the street with all the golf carts driving around but we soon got used to it.

My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights from 15th March 2014 and were very impressed. The hotel was modern, very clean and very comfortable. The room was very spacious with two comfy double beds, tv, air con and lovely shower room. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even offering to let me use their laptop when my Skype connection failed. Lovey pool, good breakfast and refillable water. Great location too for the ferry, town centre and playa norte. Great price too, we would highly recommend.

My husband & I stayed here February 18 for 3 nights. The staff were very helpful, good English, clean room, comfy bed, balcony viewing ocean, sunsets. It was a bit busy on Main Street but very easy to find coming off ferry, we could see it from beach & it was a 5min walk.

Isla Mujeres is overwhelmed with dumpy hotels. They are the kind of places you would stay at in the middle of the country when you're too tired to keep driving. The only problem is that Isla Mujeres is so great that many hotels get inflated reviews.

Of the 3 hotels I've stayed at on Isla Mujeres, this was the best. It was a real hotel. I come here every year, so it's hard to excuse certain failings as "quaint" or "charming." I want a hotel with clean linens and water pressure. This place did it for me.

I really, really wish that I could give 5 stars here. However, the internet was spotty in the room and the ac unit did not work. I told them and they said that it took a while. The guy working the reception desk even called me later and said that the handy man said it just took a while to work. Nope. In the 8 or 9 hours I slept, the ac unit did not change. I am a techy person too, so don't think that this is an issue of an AARP member who had the AC set to neutral. It just didn't work.

For those to reasons (internet and AC), I cannot give this place a 5 star rating. That being said, it will be my hotel of choice next year.

Bahia Chac Chi is basically a no frills hotel. There are no amenities and wifi comes and goes like the waves. It's clean and quiet except for the street noise but I couldn't hear it with the door closed. For a basic hotel with a central location near the ferry and town this hotel is perfect. If you are looking for any amenities you won't find it here.

Enjoyed a good stay at Bahia Chac Chi. The staff is very friendly. We found the rooms to be clean and comfortable. They aren't the largest, but very adequate. There is some street noise. We slept comfortable despite it though. It's very close to the ferry dock and the north beach is a few blocks away. We would gladly stay there again.

Room was clean, staff was friendly. This is a fairly simple hotel. Very simple breakfast and small clean rooms. I have been to the island 5 times and this hotel is great if you are couple that want to explore. I brought my 6 year-old this time and wished I would've stayed somewhere with more amenities like a nicer pool. The pool is basically non-existent. The size of a hot-tub, gets no sunlight and is COLD. Without kids, I would say yes great place. With kids...stay somewhere else.

The only issue I had was a nasty sewage smell coming through the shower drain. I didn't realize what the rubber cap was for in the shower. This is to go over the drain, although it doesn't completely alleviate the problem.

Room Tip: Oceanfront is great, but bring a white noise machine.
