This hotel hits all the right notes. Clean, perfect location and impeccable facilities and service.

We just got back from 8 days at PA. An excellent stay in a great hotel, with the most helpful front desk, maid service and waiter service on the beach.

The location could not be better, on the beach and so close to the shops and restaurants of Hidalgo.

Can't wait for our next trip!

We chose Privilege Aluxes because we wanted a small hotel on a great beach near a village. Surprisingly the rooms are very spacious, i guess this was a condo complex before.Luckily our bedroom which was facing the street and the school was well soundproofed.

We didnt use the pools much as they were some people spending their day at the bar there and if you wanted quiet you couldnt get it there.

The food is excellent though not that many choices, it was mostly a la carte, and it was very nice eating at the beach at night at Café del mar, only one night we had to get inside the other restaurant because we were eaten alive by mosquitos!
Some nights there were bands playing, it was nice.
Service at café del Mar is excellent, the guys working there make a great effort making you feel confortable.

The only downside for us was the music...in the morning sometimes they would put electronic music or shakira and we felt it wasn't appropriate since most people were just relaxing or reading.and there is already noise from the road beside and sometimes music from the sunset café beside.

Be prepared for hot days because this part of the island is not windy...we were hoping for a little breeze that didnt come. Because of that the beach is perfectly clear and flat, which is nice also.

We would go back but maybe in winter months when it is less hot.

Overall an excellent stay!

Room Tip: upper floors for a wonderful views of different sides of the island.

I was really hesitant in giving a review on our recent visit to Privilege because I didn't want others to find out what a gem this place is! This was our second trip to Isla and second stay at Privilege. Our first stay was cut short due to a hurricane that chased us out! We decided to return and give it another try. We were glad that we did. We loved it the first time and loved it even more this time! There were a lot of upgrades made since we were there two years ago. I can't say enough about our week there. The weather was perfect. We did not have a drop of rain except on the day we arrived.
We chose the all-inclusive plan and for the price you can't go wrong. The hotel and staff were amazing especially at Cafe Del Mar. We chose to eat most of our meals there. The food was great and eating outside on the beach was great too! It just doesn't get better than that! The staff at Cafe Del Mar run their butts off! Sergio, Luis, and my favorite, Enrique! They are at your beck and call! Always making sure you have enough to eat and drink. How cool is it to return from the water and find a bucket of Coronas on ice waiting for you! The beach is awesome! Crystal clear blue water and soft sand. You don't have to worry about a rough wave coming in and knocking you down. There is just a nice calm ripple that comes in just when a boat goes by. We chose to stay at the beach all day instead of the pool because that is what we came for but the pool was just as nice.
Our room was a suite deluxe that overlooked the pool area. My only complaint is that it wasn't on a higher floor. Hopefully, Jesus at the front desk will accommodate us better next time. It was always clean and well stocked with water and beverages. Our maid left rose petals around the tub and sink one day and many animal towel decorations with flowers the remaining days. I was always surprised to see what she left us!
Isla is just such a neat little island. If you are looking for a nice quiet get away and some R&R,
Privilege is for you. If you want crazy, spring breakish atmosphere, stay at a bigger resort on Cancun. We will definitely return next year! We are counting down the days!

My husband and I stayed at Privilege Aluxes at the end of August 2013, and we loved it! It was our first time to Isla Mujeres, and it's such a great island. We chose the all inclusive package for 5 days and 4 nights.
The staff was very nice and helpful, and had our best interest in mind. The hotel and property were both very clean and well taken care of! The pools were sparkling and there were plenty of chairs to lay out. The beach was BEAUTIFUL!!!! White powdery sand, crystal clear ocean, and plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas for guests.
The food was average, but there was always something we found that we loved. We visited the buffet for almost every meal because there was always something great to eat!
We got a couples massage which was amazing! We went swimming with whale sharks--best part of the trip! We rented a golf cart to explore the island and it was very fun to see more of Isla Mujeres!
Everywhere was very safe and we never felt uncomfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel, and would love to go back someday!!

This was my fourth time visiting Isla Mujeres. I have stayed at Cabanas Marias del Mar and Bahia Cha Chi on my other visits. Marias del Mar was a decent budget experience and I was not wild about Bahia Cha Chi. This place takes the cake. I knew from prior experience that the location can't be beat. The beach is perfect and there's easy access to town and anything else you may want from the resort. I got a great deal traveling in August as well. We didn't opt into the all-inclusive option as we like to explore all of the food options on the island, but the free breakfast was suitable. For cheaper drinking and a snack, Jax across the street has buckets of beer for $80 pesos which can't be beat anywhere and good fish tacos. The rooms were super clean, the bathrooms were great, location is awesome, and pricing reasonable. We bought the most economical room and still had nice view of ocean and balcony. We had a great time here and I will definitely stay here when I visit in the future.

We were there for a guerrilla style wedding, but had the best time! The staff was all amazing (Guillermo, Ponce and Miguel) and extremely helpful. The resort itself was great as well; if you did n't want room service, the 3 restaurants onsite were just as great as anything else. Guillermo booked us a dat at the Garrafon Reef Park and Chichen itza. The reef park was great, but the tour we were put on for Chichen Itza was TERRIBLE. We only got to spend 1 hour at the site, and were traveling for a total of 16 hours that day. I'd advise looking into another tour for that, and not go through the company they used. We also did a Whale Shark outing, and it was the most amazing thing I have ever done. The rooms with the pools and hot tubs are so large and great. Definite if you want to have people over in the room.

Room Tip: Go with the pool room if it's in your budget! If not, the hot tub rooms are inexpensive.
