My husband and I went here for our anniversary with another couple (all under 30 years old) and we were all sad that we didn't book a longer vacation! We had a great time! The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. Yahira at the front desk is the sweetest she even surprised us with rose petals, wine and dessert in our room. I would recommend a junior suite swim up room. We had a slide right outside of our room into the pool it was awesome! We didn't stay preferred and honestly we didn't miss out on anything at all. The preferred pool was extremely quiet and an older crowd. The back pool with the slides is where the fun was. Imer the bartender at the pool bar was awesome. At any bar you have to ask for the better liquor or they will give you the cheap stuff.
Food: breakfast I highly recommended room service (eggs Benedict was my fav) and Windows was good as well. The buffet was just ok. Lunch and dinner we ate at Windows most of our stay everything is delicious. Oceana was also good I'm not a big seafood water but I ate it from there. We didn't make it to the French restaurant because my husband didn't have long pants but we heard great things.
Activities: we did the kayaks and hobie cat boat provided by the resort, both were a good time. Our guide Oscar was so nice we had fun with him on our sailing trip. The Mayan fire dancers on the beach was awesome!! And we made guacamole on the beach it was a lot of fun! There is not a wild nightlife on the resort. The sky bar was beautiful at sunset more of a relaxing lounge. The desires nightclub was what we made it. We had fun dancing but we are more rowdy and outgoing than most people. I recommend if your looking for a party at night go off the resort .. señor frogs was so fun! The island was very safe we went to local bars and didn't feel uncomfortable. There's so much more to see than just the resort so take advantage of the island activities like jeep rides or shopping downtown. The concierge at the resort can help you rent the jeeps. Overall we had a great time at this resort and we all want to come back for sure!

My boyfriend and I stayed for 4 nights and 5 days at Secrets. The staff and service at was wonderful. We were able to book everything from the resort. The boats for snorkel, diving, and parasailing can pick up at the pier located on the beach in front of the resort. Could not have asked for a better stay! Highly recommend!

We went for a week and wished we could stay for longer (obviously). The rooms were beautiful and very clean. The pool areas were all exceptionally clean as well. The food was amazing, and the service at the restaurants was excellent. The buffet had a great variety. We had an amazing service from Fabian Canul as our waiter and Luis at the bar. Definitely going back to this resort in the future.

My husband and I spent nine glorious nights at this resort and enjoyed every moment. The staff at this resort were the most genuinely friendly people we have ever encountered while vacationing. Some went out of their way to even learn our names by the week' s end. We were celebrating our anniversary, and upon our arrival, we had been upgraded to an awesome room with beautiful ocean views and a private roof with a pool, which we absolutely loved. Spent many hours up there! The food was great at all the restaurants, plenty to choose from, and room service was excellent. If you ever need anything, you just make a quick call and it is taken care of quickly. While we spent a lot of time just relaxing at the resort, our favorite day was when we rented an open topped jeep and went around the island. Punta Sur Ecological Park at the southern tip of Cozumel is well worth the $14 entrance fee. Also, travel up the east coast of the island for spectacular ocean views and you must stop at Coconuts Bar and Grill. I have nothing negative to say about this resort. It is well maintained and the staff is always cleaning and gardening and working on the landscaping. Any bad reviews on here come from people who just like to find fault with anything. Thank you Secrets Aura staff for all that you do to make vacationers welcome at your resort. We had a blast! We hope to return in the future and bring some of our friends along to share in the experience!

Room Tip: Our room was in the section with the lazy river, and we found it to be outstanding

We booked a vacation through Sunwing Travel and stayed at this resort last week. The resort itself is beautiful. We stayed in a junior room with a pool view and were very happy with the room. The cleanliness of the room and the grounds was excellent, and the staff was amazing. The breakfast buffet was more than sufficient to our needs. The other dining options (Windows, Bordeaux and Oceana) had lovely menus, but we found them to be a bit too "americanized" for what we were looking for. We wanted authentic Mexican food, and these restaurants elevated the cuisine well beyond that. I don't go to Mexico to dine on French food, although Bordeaux admittedly had great French food. We only at dinner at the resort twice, preferring to head into town and enjoy some local restaurants.

The beach is not the pristine white sand beach that a lot of people anticipate, but this is to be expected as it's on the reef side of the island. We took advantage of the on property Dive House and scuba dived most days. This is truly the best part about this resort. The dive masters were wonderful...knowledgeable, competent and fun, and the diving was extraordinary.

We rented a jeep on our last day and drove to the beaches on the other side of the island, where the sand is like powdered sugar and we enjoyed body surfing in the waves.

Overall, the resort was very good, and perfect for those who enjoy all-inclusive vacations. This was my first all-inclusive, and I think I would have preferred a non-all-inclusive closer to the town center.

My husband and I planned this getaway only 2 weeks in advance. The website had every room sold out, but the most and least expensive. We choose the tropical room. When we entered the resort we were happily greeted with drinks and cool towels. The check-in process was interesting. We were offered an upgrade to a premium room for 900$, but then after much debate we were offered a swim-up room free of charge. It was a nice room and although there were parties at the pool it was relatively quiet in our room. Be aware of the staff constantly trying to offer you "coupons". It is a 90 minute time share sell, but they claim it is not. We were informed that 10 million dollars of upgrades are to come. If you want to give your time you will receive a 50% discount on a snorkeling tour. It's up to you if you play your cards right. There is really nice snorkeling right out of the resort and the equipment is free for 2 hours. Kayaking is free for 30 mins, but they really don't care. Just tip the great staff! The resort really appeared in no way sold out. You are able to walk next door to their sister resort Sunscapes and use the amenities and restaurants. My husband and I did not have to wait to eat. Speaking of food it is average at best. Breakfast is the best meal of the day at market cafe buffet. Every other meal is hit or miss. Men-remember long pants for some of the restaurants. You have to remember they have to keep costs down, so they cannot give you five star quality cuisine. The drinks are fine throughout the resort, and the sky bar has a nice view of the sunset.
The resort is $15 US to downtown and $15 US back to the resort. We stayed at the resort the whole time. The staff is very attentive and hospitable. You do not have to tip, but we brought plenty of singles. We kept US dollars and never exchanged for peso's. Overall a good value at a beautiful location!
