Just got back from a week's stay at Casa Viento and we had a lovely time. This was my first time in Mexico and I really didn't know what to expect. While the heat and humidity was a bit overwhelming for me, coming back to Casa Viento after each of our daily adventures was like coming back 'home'. In fact we referred it to as 'home' while we were there. Nic and Raul are wonderful hosts and worked hard to make sure we enjoyed our stay.

Casa Viento was exactly what we had hoped it would be. We wanted something small, peaceful, relaxing, clean, and as far from the all-inclusive resort experience as we could get and it fit the bill perfectly.

We had a few issues with hot water and beds the first night or two but as soon as we let Nic and Raul know, they were right on top of making sure everything was tip top for us. They couldn't have been more responsive or accomodating and we really appreciated their attention. Nic even brought over some delicious shrimp ceviche and ice cold cervezas our first night that were life savers as my mother and I were exhausted and hungry by the time we arrived.

They were really helpful with recommendations for places to eat, snorkeling spots, getting a car, etc. They did a good job of assessing what we were looking for and then giving recommendations to match that.

The Casa is so peaceful, away from the noise and hustle and bustle of the tourists. The accomodations are clean and beautiful. LOVED the pool and patio areas. LOVED Diva the resident pooch. She is incredibly sweet and well-mannered (and I'm not really a dog person). The room had everything we needed and all was in excellent condition and very nice. The towels were large and plentiful and smelled so good. And again, I don't think we could have asked for better hosts. Very welcoming, attentive, and accomodating. It's clear that their priority is for their guests to love their stay at Casa Viento, and we most certainly did.

Thanks Nic and Raul for making our trip the best!

Since I tend to 'wax poetic', I'll try to make this clear and concise. If you want to exeperince Mexico, in an authentic and luxurious setting, with the beach only a few hundred yards away, THIS IS YOUR PLACE! No impersonal mega-resort feeling here!! From the moment you arrive you are treated like a friend, and by the time you leave you feel like family. The hotel is small, intimate, very clean, open, airy, and set amongst a lovely garden of flowering bushes and other lovely plants. The owners, Nicole and Raul are over the top -- helpful beyond all expectations, extremely kind, and very generous. You might also enjoy their adorable little dog, Diva, and their colorful parrot, Tiki, who flirts and gives great scalp massages! I traveled to Casa Viento with a girlfriend and I can't wait to return next year with a POSSE of girlfriends, and then again with my husband. A DELIGHTFUL TROPICAL ESCAPE from all that is mundane and stressful!

Stayed for a week. This place is great. Nicole and Raul were wonderful. All their advice for restaurants, activities, and places to see were spot on. They are there when you need them, but allow you quiet and alone time. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Nice and quiet atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle.

This was our second time staying at Casa Viento. Raul and Nicole are the best hosts! The hotel is quaint, quiet and clean. We stayed in an upstairs unit with ocean view, full kitchen, air conditioning, large bathroom and nice living room. the high speed internet worked perfect and we had a nice view of the pool. We had daily housekeeping service and we even had our laundry washed and folded for a very reasonable fee. The beach is just a short walk from the hotel (just a few houses away) and is a beautiful white sand beach. Nicole and Raul are so helpful and made sure we did not miss out on any of the great activities or excellent restaurants on the island. Raul runs an excellent kiteboarding school right across from the hotel as well. Casa Viento has a nice refreshing pool and a great patio area which was really fun to hang out at and talk to other vacationers and hear about their daily adventures. The country club golf course is right accross the street. This is the only hotel I would recommend in Cozumel and we can not wait to return!

We just returned from a four night stay at Hotel Casa Viento (March 18-22) and could not have asked for a better location to stay at on the island. We looked at all of the reviews on trip advisor, and they were totally spot on.

I could not say enough about Nicole and Raul's hospitality. They were there to provide excellent customer service, but more than that, they treated you like family who were coming to visit their house. They had excellent recommendations for things to do on the island and even went out of their way to drive us to our first meal on the island at La Choza (downtown) when we first arrived, after they had just returned from a dinner out themselves. Nicole gave us bug spray to use for the entire time there after my boyfriend was bitten by some insect on the beach. She also went out of her way to make reservations for us at restaurants for dinner as well as check on availability for cars. Their hospitality was key since this was our first time on the island and we did not do any research on places to go or things to do. They also have a "Casa Viento book" of their recommendation of things to do on the island...

The room was very well maintained and had great amenities. The air conditioner was great, the sheets were clean, the bed was comfy and the bathrrom had a great shower. There is also a mini-fridge in the room as well as eating utensils in case you want to store / eat your own snacks / food. There is no TV in the room, which is actually a plus for us since it forced us to go out everyday and enjoy the many beaches in Cozumel (not that we complained about this at all!)

The beach is literally a two minute walk from the hotel. It is not even a quarter mile up from one of a major resorts on the island. So, you can walk down a bit and take advantage of the resort-type features (e.g. palapas, lounge chairs) or you can seriously just park yourself and stuff down on the beach and have a splendid area just for yourself. You'll need to travel a bit to do some snorkeling though -- unlike other places, it's the beach that has rocks in it that has beautiful snorkeling. The one that's closest to Casa Viento does not...but it's still beautiful!

One tip: be sure to tell your cab driver that you are going to "Country Club" Most cabbies have not heard of Casa Vieno (hidden gem that it is). It will be about $9 to get there. We didn't rent a car for the first two days, but then enjoyed our buggie from ISIS for the last two. We recommend that you rent from ISIS since the rates include tax, insurance etc. Other folks that we bumped into were being charged upwards of $70 / day for the same style of buggie. Nicole will call down so that you can get picked up from the hotel.

All in all, I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Casa Viento. It's definitely on the top of our list!! We look forward to coming back again...
