“Playa Palancar is a beautiful remote place to enjoy a day at the beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

This place is absolutely gorgeous, the beach is the most turquoise water I have ever seen. Plenty of share and sitting areas. There is good food available to purchase and drinks. Went on an excursion that was just the transportation (didn't include food, etc) but do not regret it, will go back if the opportunity presents itself. Drivers outside of the port (cruise ship) were excellent and waited for us until we were ready to head back for $20/person not bad at all, it was about a 15 min drive each way, very friendly, clean.

“Quiet peaceful beach. Great food.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013 via mobile

When cruiseships are in town Finding a quiet relaxing beach can be difficult. This beach is beautiful, laid-back, quiet and peaceful. The restaurant is great and the fish tacos and ceviche are excellent.

“A good beach to lounge and rest, or take a beach walk”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

In March, it was very quiet at Palancar which had tables, loungers and hammocks ready to take weary travellers. The sea was wonderful one day, full of seaweed from a strong tide the next (I don't mind, it's nature!). The beach always has a few taxis waiting to take you back, and I enjoyed taking a walk away from it to have some solitude. Food was fine, a bit on the expensive side as was expected. Friendly waiters who chatted with me. I had my magazines, the sea, a parasol over my head and a cool drink in hand, so really, it WAS heaven.

“Small Beach with Amenities”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

Just an average beach on the southern side of Cozumel - there's a restaurant and some little shops, restrooms and changing rooms. The beach and waterfront access itself is kind of small.

There is no charge to enter or use the beach chairs/loungers, which is nice.
