Cantamar 303 was a great place to stay for us! This was our first long term stay to Cozumel (had done day trips off cruises) and the condo made for a fantastic vacation. There were four of us, including a 7 and 10 year old. The condo was exactly as described. Large master bedroom with a king size bed and a 2nd bedroom with two bed for the kids. It worked out perfectly. Great balcony facing the ocean, with stunning views. We spent a large amount of time simply eating breakfast, lunch of enjoying a late night cocktail. The condo building was quiet and very relaxing, so if you are looking for a "party spot" (which we were not) not your kind of place. The full kitchen had everything you could possibly want (pots, pans, untensils, cutting boards etc) along with full fridge/freezer. We went to the Mega supermarket the first night and loaded up on soda, eggs, snacks, milk, cereal, bread, fruit etc which was great for breakfasts and lunches, and helped keep costs down. The wireless internet was flawless, which was great to keep in touch. TV had some cable channels and a nice selection of movies for the DVD player, which helped with the kids. Outdoors you will find a very nice pool area right next to the sea along with a small manmade sand area with lawnchairs to relax. You can jump right off the dock and partake in some good snokeling...the kids really enjoyed that! The entire property was very clean and extremely well cared for. There is locked gate to enter the property, which adds a feeling of security. Downtown San Miguel is only about a 15 minute walk or a five dollar cab ride away. There you will find all the shops and restaurants. We didn't rent a car and relied on cabs (which are very easy to find) that we used everyday to hit downtown and the beaches and it worked out just fine. If you want to do a bunch of longer trips to the "wild side" of the island, then I'd consider renting a car as cabrides are more expensive to those spots. This condo is north of downtown, while most of the major beaches are on the south side. Typically it was a $15 cabride to most of the beaches. I have nothing but great things to say about Cantamar 303. Way, way better than a hotel and I thought a great value for your money. We're already discussing our next staJill was extremely helpful in getting things set up and providing advice on things to do, restaurants etc. I would highly recommend Cantamar for your stay in Cozumel....you will not be disappointed!
