“Clean great location and great rate”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

Stayed one night here while visiting Cozumel. Rooms were clean,, It was in easy walking distance from the ferry dock. Only thing missing was a pool . Cozumel is a totally different place after the cruise ships leave each evening. Had a great time and would return again.

I stay at the Suites Colonial whenever I am in Cozumel. It is spacious and the breakfasts make it a deal. It is located just off the main plaza so walking around town is easy.there are good restaurants near by.

Room Tip: Negotiate price...it won't hurt!

This hotel is located near the downtown square and many restaurants in San Miguel. It is part of a family of hotels that includes the Casa Mexicana, where Suites Colonial guests have access to the breakfast buffet. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and it was located two blocks away. Rooms at the Suites Colonial were clean, as was the reception area. The toilet didn't work properly one day, but it was fixed right away after notification of the problem. The only persistent negative experience was with the window unit air conditioner - it only cooled the bedroom adequately when the door to the bathroom and living room were closed. For the price, the hotel was a good value and it was located within walking distance of many places in San Miguel. Free in-room wifi was nice, too.

We were upgraded to a 2 room suite after having booked the single room suite. Came with a sitting room, table, small kitchen, bathroom, and two beds. Air conditioning worked great the second night, didn't cool things off well the second night. Bathroom was clean! Highlight of the place was the location (about a minute walking from the main plaza) and the breakfast. Included in the stay was breakfast at the not-too-far-away sister hotel. Yogurts with fruit, french toast, waffles, eggs, cereal, and a variety of juices were available at the self-serve buffet. The hotel did not have any potable water freely available, and like I said, cooling the room was an issue. Otherwise, great place to stay, especially for the price (we booked for 23 per person).

We stayed a Fri and sat.
big rooms. Suites huge. V good breakfast at hotel 3 blocks away. But v loud band at next door bar from 11:30 till gone 3 am on Fri and Sat. They didn't tell us. Even though they new. This is not just a bit of music but a loud rock band playing in the back yard. We can sleep through most things but not this. They moved us to a suite at no extra cost at 1am. So there was one more wall between us and the music and it wasdnt so bad. It is not the hotels fault but none the less either take a suite on Fri or sat for no extra co or don't stay. Also online price beats the official price by a lot.
The rest of the -week, great room, great location, great breakfast.

The location of the hotel is great, right downtown and steps away from everything! The rooms are big and roomy. To my surprise the room had a fridge which was an added bonus. The area is clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and they all speak English in case your Espanol is not that good. Great value for your money, I would stay there again anytime. There is no restaurant on site but you can eat at the sister hotel which is 2.5 blocks away. Either ways you are a few meters from some great restaurants, convenience store is 3 minutes away and the supermarket about a 10-15 minute walk.

Well if saving money is what you are looking for, this is good option, nevertheles the hotel could be improved in several ways. Let's see

1. The water pressure was too low, so taking a shower takes for ever.
2. The AC is just too noisy.
3. There are other outer noises like alarms, music from bars and things like that.
4. Location is good because it is close to the main pier and restaurants.
5. A good thing is that breakfast is included in the restaurant at Casa Mexicana Hotel.

Room Tip: higher level better view and less noisy.
