We have 2 kids, 20 and 14, and have vacationed throughout the Caribbean and Bahamas, including 4 stays in Mexico. This was the best of all of them! We were there from March 12-17. Perfect weather certainly helped!
Take all the positive comments from previous posts, and add this: 1) I would recommend lowering your food quality expectations if being at an all-inclusive is important to you. If you go in with realistic expectations -- that is, you will find some good yet repetitive food, even most of the food will be good, but some will not -- you'll be very satisfied here. 2) Please consider booking a combination deep-sea fishing and snorkeling day with Dino. He SO took care of us! It was fabulous. He would NOT accept a tip afterwards. 3) PLEASE go to Cozumel. They are trying to get back on their feet after the hurricane, and are doing a darn good job of it. Tip as much as you are able. They deserve it. 4) The jeep tour is OK, but they're not able to do a lot of off-roading as in years past due to the hurricane damage. As a result, you end up going to a lot of street vendors, which gets old. 5) I celebrated my birthday there -- they brought a birthday cake to the dinner table that night!

Expect a 25-30 minute ride from the airport to this property. You may not take a private taxi FROM the airport, but a private taxi TO the airport is about $22 ($15 into town, about a 20 min ride).
Our family would love to go back some day.
