“Great people, location, rooms and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2012

We have stayed at Las Anclas for ten days on Christmas 2011, and it was amazing. The owners created almost a boutique hotel experience - once you go through the doors, you step into a green and blue oasis. Conveniently located one block from the ocean, within minutes from shops, bars, restaurants or local eateries, this place is quiet and peaceful
It may seem more expensive than some other places on the island, but you get more than you pay for. It's a great place to relax and recharge - and start an island or underwater adventure.

These are basically large villas for the price of a small room. The accommodation is in an excellent location in the centre of San Miguel and Jordi (the owner) really cannot do enough for you. I would really recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cozumel and would definitely stay here again.

Upon arriving we were greeted by one of the friendliest people I have encountered so far on my 5 week trip. Going out of their way to accommodate our needs and also providing the little things we didn't even expect (like a huge bottle of water). Jordi has a wealth of local knowledge to draw off too.
The hotel is gorgeous with tropical gardens and has beautiful interiors.
It's a short stroll to amazing restaurants- Kinta was our fav- and breakfasts were awesome at El Cafe down the road.
We felt at home at Villas Las Anclas and highly recommend a stay here. Great value!

We enjoyed our stay at Villas Las Anclas our only regret was not staying for more than one night. We needed a stop over for out flight home out of Cozumel after staying in Puerto Adventuras. When the owner called after booking online I new the service would be fantastic. He was so helpful in answering my questions and offering advice. I initially booked this hotel for the proximity to the airport and restaurants. We ended up renting a car to discover the island after the owner's recommendation. The location is very convenient and you can walk to everywhere in town. The room is a two story apartment with the master suite upstairs and a spacious kitchen, living and dining room down. The kitchen had everything you would need for a long stay. You absolutely can't beat the price! I hope we have an opportunity to come back and stay for a couple weeks.

I've been staying at Villa Las Anclas since I was a little boy, I've never found another hotel that could quite compare. The villas are well designed and clean and its a short walk to practically anywhere in town you'd want to go. The hotel is perfect for travelers who want to experience the local culture and have a safe quiet place to stay without all the tourist traps.

Villas Las Anclas is a wonderful place to stay to relax and enjoy Cozumel. The accommodations are clean and inviting and the price is extremely reasonable. The location is perfect whether you want to walk into town or catch a cab to go to dive shops that offer some of the best diving in the world. The people at Villas Las Anclas are friendly and helpful in every way. I travel to Cozumel yearly to dive and every year I will return to Villas Las Anclas.

We spent a week in Cozumel at Villa las Anclas and picked this hotel for the very reasonable rates and great location - only 1 block from the water and 2 blocks from the dock where we catch our dive boat. Jordi, the manager in residence, gives prompt and personalized service.
It's a small and quiet property with 6 or 7 rooms. On the ground level of each unit is the kitchenette - stocked with plates, cups, glasses, silverware a small refrigerator and a microwave. You can ask to borrow a hot plate, sharp knives, etc. from Jordi if you want to do more than microwave cooking. There's a table that seats four and a small den area with the TV. On the second level is the bedroom (very firm bed!) and bathroom. The unit is clean and the daily maid service is great.
There is a table and bench in the common area with a table/chairs, benches and a many lovely plants and trees. If you want to cook on the grill, Jordi will supply you with the charcoal and starter gel. There is a water hose for washing your dive gear and hooks for hanging wetsuits to dry.
There are numerous good restaurants withing 1/2 to 1 block. Some of our favorites are Le Chef, Especias, Kondesa and The Coffee. We will definitely consider staying at Villa las Anclas for our next dive vacation.
