Our trip to Cozumel was all about diving but little did I know that our stay at Baldwin's would rival the diving! What a treat Dale and Kathy's little garden oasis in the sun turned out to be. And two of the most delightful, dear people I have ever met! Everyday I looked forward to my after-dive beer from the "honor bar" and sharing a little time with Kathy - such a sweetheart! Our room and bath were spacious, clean and private. I never felt like I was an intruder in their home, like some B&B's can make you feel. Kathy's breakfasts were delicious and enormous - I was pretty sure I wouldn't need much extra weight on any of my dives! Dale was a treat and his dry wit and humor kept us chuckling. My only regret is that I can't be sure whether I will make it back there before they sell the place and head north. I encourage one and all to visit this wonderful piece of paradise and the sooner the better!!

I cannot think of enough positive things to say about our stay at Baldwin's. We were made welcome, we were helped immensely with our diving arrangements, the restaurant recommendations were right on, and the breakfasts were amazing. We just returned from spending 6 nights with Kathy and Dale in Cozumel. Included in our group were our sons, aged 15 and 20. Kathy's sensitivities to our needs showed great thoughtfulness. She was at the ready with stain remover, a wine glass, whatever we needed. Her respect for the environment is evident in her efforts in recycling, and in the care of her garden and the residents thereof. Dale's dry wit was an entertainment for us all. I have to mention the cleanliness. I have never stayed in any hotel or home in that kind of climate without coming up against unwelcome bugs. I didn't come face to face with a "palmetto bug" , or any other bug, inside the house even once! You know, staying at a bed and breakfast is not like staying at a hotel. You get to know your hosts and the other guests. This is offered in the sanctuary of their "home" with the added pluses here of garden, gazebo, hammocks,etc. You find this in a part of Cozumel that is buzzing with the life of a neighborhood. Restaurants the locals love are short walks away. We walked everywhere and felt comfortable at all times. This is the kind of experience we like and we were not disappointed. Our best memories when we travel are the people we meet. Getting to know Dale and Kathy Gardner, our big hearted hosts at Balwin's, is our best memory of a great vacation in Cozumel. We followed Kathy's directions around the corner to Pescaderia San Carlos where Diego lightly fried the "hog" snapper we picked out; our best Cozumel meal. Kathy booked us on a unique sailing and snorkeling trip; we ate grilled barracuda that was reeled in by one of the small group on board. Dale wrote down a Spanish phrase for me on a napkin to share with my wife - "mi esposa es muy bella". Thanks Dale & Kathy from Bruce & Bert.

Kathy and Dale are great people..
we could only stay for 2 nights as part of our honey moon trip to cancun/cozumel.
Their place is more luxurious than the Riu Palace in cancun!
Kathy even made to-go breakfasts for us on the morning we had to leave early for the airport.
You will have a great time staying here for sure. Kathy and Dale enjoy having people stay at their place!
