If you don't mind being kept awake all night by pile drivers and jack hammers, stay at El Cid!
If you don't mind sharing the beach and pool with cruise ship visitors who are given a free day pass, stay at El Cid!
If you don't mind being harrassed by sales persons, stay at El Cid!
If you don't mind sleeping on a brick for a mattress, stay at El Cid!

I stayed at this hotel with my best friend.

The rooms were very spacious...we stayed in a time share room...I don't know if they are different...ac was great...and the room was very quiet...

There was a jacuzzi in our room though I didn't use it.

We enjoyed watching the cruise ships come in next to the resort

We felt very safe here and there were not many people at the resort at the time we went...

We enjoyed the restaurant outside...mexican food was authentic and americanized...whatever you like...

Only one problem which you find most anywhere in Mexico I would guess was the FLIES at the restaurant...that was the only thing I can complain about...

The supermarket is not far from the resort so we bought a bunch of microwaveable soups and granola bars and chips and dips to save a little money...

The ride into town was quick...Lots of places to go and some fun bars

I can tell you that this is the 2nd time that we stayed at El Cid and the service is even better then the last time.....we have had two great trips to this resort and I would highly recommend it to anyone, young or old. Everything from the staff, food, rooms and let’s not forget the view, yes the view is awesome! The rooms are very clean and well-appointed. The maid service was excellent. The restaurant offered a wide selection of food which was nicely presented. This is one of the few resorts where we have stayed where I, and my family, have not picked up any stomach aches.

i lost my wedding ring on the trip! the waiters and reception people helped me try to find it for the whole week i was there...extremely helpfull and dedicated staff.

I do recommend that if you go to Cozumel you check out the scuba diving.

Bottom line we will go again as long as they keep the service, staff and the hotel exactly the way it is.

I had a wonderful time at this hotel. I have travelled all over the world and this is definetly on the top of my list. The scuba diving was out of this world. You have to try it! The food was soo good and the view was amazing.
