I really enjoyed my 4 day stay at Casa Mexicana. The hotel was very clean, the rooms were fresh and updated. The breakfast buffet was very good; an assortment for just about anybody. This is a great place if you just want to relax. If you're into the pool scene, this is not the place. There's a very small pool, mainly for cooling off.

I really don't have anything negative to say about Casa Mexicana.

My business associates and I stayed here 9/21/05 - 9/26/05. It is a newer hotel in excellent condition, and conviniently located on the main strip in the middle of town. They have a great breakfast buffet which was included with our rooms..There is no restaurant here, but there are plenty outside the hotel... There is one very small bar here, not too exciting.... Beds are a bit hard, but the linens are nice. The air conditioning isn't super cold, but if you leave it on all day you'll arrive to a cool dry room in the evening. The people who work here are very nice... The telephone rates are very expensive but nothing like the $7 per minute rates you'd see in Cancun..... There are computers with broad band internet access for guests in the lobby, so you can check your email. There is one very small pool in the lobby, nice for a quick dip but pretty lame if you're coming here for an all out vacation.....and there is no beach here.

I highly recommend this for the business traveler, those visiting the town, and those who could do without beach access or a decent sized pool.

Just returned from Cozumel and have nothing but high praise for Casa Mexicana. Outstanding boutique type hotel with lovely, clean design, immaculate, and comfortable rooms. We splurged for the double/double overlooking the ocean. We loved the refreshing pool by the bar and the friendly bartender. The included buffet breakfast is delicious and an outstanding value. Staff here is friendly and helpful. Terrific location and value and highly recommended. Numerous snorkel/swim spots are within walking distance so you don't need to spend outrageous sums on a beach or inclusive property. This is the place to stay.

Aug 5-10 2005, post Emily. Hotel is in a great location, walking distance to the plaza a few blocks North, Senior Frogs, and pier mall two blocks South. The dive boats pick you up across the street at the seawall pier. The beaches are a cab ride away, or rent a car. Most of the beaches, parks, and ruins will not be up to par until October due to the Strom. But there are beaches that are open. Breakfast is excellent, and included with stay; restaurant dinning in Cozumel tourist area is way over-priced (budget $70 p.p. day) so this a an excellent benefit. Service was excellent! Facilities are great! Free internet Café! Only complaints, we could not upgrade to ocean view room. Mixed drinks at bar very weak.
