My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. We upgraded to a ocean-view room, and it is completely worth it! The rooms are extremely clean, and the room service makes a fun towel animal for you everyday! Extremely comfy beds as well.
The location is good for going to different restaurants and shops and is right next to senior frogs/carlos and charlies. To go to the beach, it is about a 15 minute drive down the coast, but we rented a car for about $11 a day so it wasn't too big of a deal to drive.
The breakfast buffet is AMAZING! It is complimentary and they have everything you could imagine, egg station, fresh waffles, fruits, meats, fruit juices, smoked salmon, the works! We definitely took advantage of this everyday!
The employees were extremely helpful as well and gave us good recommendations on places to go and eat. They have internet in the lobby too.
We wish the pool was a bit bigger and wish they had a hot tub, but besides that, we wouldn't have changed anything else!

We stayed at Casa Mexicana May 16-24 to do some diving with Aldora Divers. We picked Casa Mexicana for its proximity to the dive shop, as well as its central location for restaurants. It is a very nicely kept and run hotel. We were pleasantly surprised. We halfway expected an US type hustle and bustle hotel, but it was very laid back. The front desk was polite and professional, the maid service efficient, ( if you don't want them to 'organize' your belongings, let the front desk know), and Jaime, the breakfast buffet steward, was a real gentleman, very proud of his culture. We had no problems checking in or out, no hidden charges, and had a nice view of the ocean. I must add; the cruise ships were not in town at all, so we didn't have the crowds to contend with. Good for us but not so good for the vendors. The vendors will try to sell, - it's their livelyhood - but not too pushy, and alot of them with a good degree of humor. We got some good laughs with some of the lines, like 99% off everything in the store! All in all, an excellent place to stay. We plan on staying there again, when we return.

My husband and I stayed at Casa Mexicana on April 11th -to the 18th , and very impressed with everything. They were always cleaning and I swear that I have never stayed in a hotel this clean. The buffet breakfast was wonderful and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The most comfortable bed I ever slept in. We enjoyed the view of the city and the neighborhood. My husband and I stayed in this hotel for five nights, and were very much satisfied. Right in the center of downtown Cozumel, the location is perfect. We got a room with ocean view and despite what other reviewers wrote, it was not noisy at all. The room was clean, with good air-conditioning, and a spacious bathroom with all the amenities.
The best part was the breakfast buffet. They serve tons of fruits and many choices of warm food and freshly squeezed grapefruit and orange juice. Breakfast is served in the open terrace and the atmosphere was great.
If you want a secluded, everything included place, this is not a place for you. For example, the hotel lobby is used for a conference and meeting, and people come in and out on that occasion. But if you want a modern, clean room, convenient location, and great breakfast, Casa Mexicana de Cozumel is THE place for you!! We will definitely come back again.
