I just recently returned from my cruise on Carnival Conquest in which Cozumel was our last port. Me and my boyfriend used to go to Mr. Sancho's beach on previous Cozumel trips but this time we decided to do a different one. So we searched online we found Nachi-Cocom. After reading GREAT reviews about this beach, I decided to book it. We had a fabulous time. My intentions were to lay on the beach and take in the scenery. Well, I did just that. First of all, the booking process was flawless....very fast response time. Then, getting there by taxi was easy as there were plenty of taxis waiting to be hailed at the cruise ship dock. So we grabbed one and we were off!!! Took about 15 minutes to get there and the fare was only $15. Our taxi driver was very informative and said that Nachi-Cocom was an excellent choice. He informed us that many of the other free or low charge beaches were usually very crowded and you had to pay for your food and drinks (which was the case with Mr. Sancho's). So, at this point we are really excited. He also told us that Mr. Sancho's was located about 200 yards from Nachi-Cocom. And it was...we could see it from where we sat. We could have walked down there since it is a free beach, but we didn't. Anyway, upon entering the property, we saw an iguana run across the road. Wow!! Once inside, our photo was taken (which we could have purchased for $10 but we didn't ); then, we paid our balance (in U.S. cash) and were taken on a very brief tour of the grounds and services. Then, we were lead to areas were there were available beach chairs (2 with a small table between) which were covered. We chose to go all the way to the end. Although, they only allow 100 people per day, there was probably 30 people there. It had the feel of a private secluded beach. After putting our things down, we were given a menu and drink orders were taken. We both ordered Micheladas. If you have never had one, you should definitely try one....even if you don't drink beer. They consist of the Mexican beer of your choice (I had Dos XX) mixed with hot sauce and lime juice served in a salt-rimmed glass/cup. Tastes very good. After some time, a guy came around to ask if we wanted to do any activities such as parasailing, jet skis, banana boat, glass bottom boat, snorkeling, etc. Also, they have a massage area for those who desire an on-the-beach massage. We declined as we only wanted to relax and soak up the sun. But, the prices were reasonable. We did, however, go for a walk and saw a few iguanas in trees sunbathing and walking in the grass. It was pretty cool seeing them running wild in their element. We finally decided to order our food. All was good, especially the guacamole, seafood soup, and quesadillas. Then, unfortunately it was time to return to our ship (the time went by really fast). Since this was an all-inclusive beach, there was no need to tip. They called us a taxi and we left with many pictures taken, great memories, and with intentions on returning here EVERY time we come to Cozumel.
