“Only place to stay if you are a diver...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

If you are a diver, I'm not sure why you wouldn't stay here! : ) We have made this an annual trip with a group of friends, and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Cozumel. The staff is absolutely exceptional, from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave, you feel like you are "home", amongst friends. Honestly, the staff are top notch, from the divemasters to housekeeping, to the restaurant...all make you feel so very welcome, and their personal attention to detail is unparalleled. The property is very clean, and very well maintained. Now...keep in mind, this is a resort for scuba divers and the resort is designed as such. This is not a "fancy" or pretentious resort...no tvs, spas, et al; however, it has a great dive shop on property, dive store across the street, and unlimited shore diving, not to mention, hammocks, and plenty of places for siesta in between dives. Food is very good (I'm vegetarian and they are always accommodating and attentive). The other great advantage for this property is the location...you can easily walk to town for drinks/dinner if you want to leave the property, or pick up items at the local grocer. Very easy access. Property is secluded, yet close to needed amenities. We just returned from a nine-day trip there and, once again, left extremely pleased. Lastly, the divemasters/boat crew are incredibly personable and fun---they make the dives extra fun. Wouldn't stay anywhere else! : )

Room Tip: We requested a lower floor this trip, as the tiled area (when it rains) can become very slick, and t...

This was my 7th visit to Scuba Club Cozumel and it continues to be a wonderful resort totally dedicated to diving. The property is beautifully maintained, the staff is friendly and professional, the dive operation is tops and the food is great. It would be really difficult for me to find anything negative to say about the resort, the dive shop or the experience.

Now...if you want super fancy, a TV in your room, a spa and multiple dining options Scuba Club will not be for you. But if you want great accommodations, exceptional, friendly service and memorable, professional dive trips then Scuba Club Cozumel is hard to beat.

At the last minute my son was not able to join but I opted to go alone since I had paid for the trip and I knew the diving would be great. The staff picked up immediately on the fact I was a "single" and they went out of their way to be friendly and accommodating. They are the best.

Yes, I will return again and again.

Room Tip: All rooms are unique and have a special personality. My preference is on the south end of the prope...

This is a small resort with big value and excellent service. It is like walking into a old traditional spanish town. Rooms are done in tile and every room is different. They are kept very clean and you are given lots of fluffy soft towels each day. The beds are firm with memory foam topper. Linens are traditional mexican decor but clean. You have a dorm like frig in your room so that you can keep drinks and/or snacks. The showers are hugh. There is no TV or phone in room but we didn't miss it. Internet is available in open lobby area, pool area and resturant.
Water coolers with fresh, cool water are everywhere-bring your water bottle. The balconies are great for drying your gear quickly with a drying rack. All rooms are charged the same, so if you don't mind 4 flights of stairs-request one of the "penthouse" rooms and get a priceless ocean view!
The all inclusive is great and set up around the dive schedule. Breakfast is buffet and they will ask you if you want special for lunch then-if you don't you can order off menu at lunch time. They will also want to know your dinner selection (always 3) at this time. They will accomadate special diets or needs. Drinks (except coffee, water or tea) not included but reasonable. The staff in the resturant go above and beyond.
The dive staff also are excellent. I love the catamaran boats with all the room, comfort and not so prone to make people sea sick. The boat staff will bring your set up to you to put on at the large back entry point and take it when you get back on the boat or from you in the water if you like. Excellent service and great divemasters with safety always in mind. Water and juice on board. Dives 40-60 mins away but very comfortable cruising along coast.
Great hammocks by the water to relax. The pool is clean and warm. Close enough to town to walk in. There is a walmart like store 2 blocks towards town that you can get snacks, drinks, etc...
Everyone here will treat you very well, tips are done at end of the week. I had lots of doubts when I booked this hotel but now HAVE NO DOUBT WE WILL BE RETURNING.

Room Tip: All rooms are different but same price. Make a request if you like oceanview, ground floor etc... FY...

I stayed here in July for a week and loved this hotel. I was worried about the all inclusive meal plan because usually they are terrible at other hotels I've stayed at but the food was really good. The room I had was so clean and beautiful. I really like the old Hacienda style of the place. The dive shop and dive masters were top shelf! Very professional, skilled and just a bunch a nice guys. The dive boat was fast and comfortable. No snacks between dives so take something with you to eat. The Wifi was strong in my room and on the porch. I like that there are not any TVs or phones in the room. Walking to downtown takes 10 minutes. There is small refrigerator in the room so I went to Chandrau and bought beer and kept it in my room. The hotel staff is superb.

Room Tip: Ask for an ocean view room. It is worth it.

You know you've hit a winner when you vacation somewhere and during your stay immediately start planning a return trip. We stayed at Scuba Cozumel in the fall of 2012 and did just that. Our return trip in July of 2013 was an even better experience as we were familiar with the routines and were able to better get to know the other offerings of the island. Since we arrived mid-week, we were assigned a very nice room, although not the one we had originally requested. As the requested room was being vacated that weekend, the staff very kindly moved us to the requested room for the remainder of our stay, no questions asked, no debating, no problem. This is truly a worry-free vacation - great food, wonderful dive crew and dive masters, clean and comfortable rooms. Everything you could ask for - total relaxation and fantastic diving!

Room Tip: Staff will try to accomodate room requests, as they did for us, upon availability. From what we cou...

We spent five days at Scuba Club Cozumel last week. It was great. We went to Cozumel to scuba dive and this was the perfect setup. The onsite dive shop was wonderful. The food was better than some 5 star resorts that we have stayed in.
The staff are part of the reason that this place is so good. They were all professional, friendly and helpful.
We have been to Cozumel many times and this was our first time to stay at Scuba Club but it want be our last.

Room Tip: They do not have elevators so if you have a problem walking up stairs, you may want to request a roo...
