We stayed at the Villablance for a week and it was pretty good. We booked through an auction, and paid the extra for a superior room, and instead of being by the pool, we were waayyy out in the back area, but it was okay. King bed, fridge, ok TV, a very large room, and very quiet. Our room was always clean!
We ate breakfast there a few times, but ate breakfast at Papa Hogs, and really enjoyed that. We went to the beach club across the street a lot and it was great.
Went into town each night for dinner, La Lobsteriera (sp?) twice, good lobster, and good service! In an orginal OLD mayan house. Went to La Morena twice, a few blocks off the main drag, GREAT fish and the best coconut shrimp I've ever had. We went into town for lunch a couple of times, got a great comida corrida at Sabores!! Wonderful, filling, authentic food!! Zermats bakery had good pasteries. We went to "El Casino" bar right off the main square by El Foco taco shop, really good mojitos, ended going almost every night, and Alex the owner, was a good host. We go to Playa Del Carmen every year, but tried something different this year. We will probably go to Cozumel next year versus PDC. We really enjoyed the people, and the relaxing pace of Cozumel.
