We spent a week at the Coral Princess and a wonderful time! What a great place to relax and unwind. The staff is excellent and helpful. The resturant had excellent meals and service. The facility was clean and bright. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable and nicely furnished. It was not fancy - just right! We used Pepe's dive shop located right in the facility to go on several snorkeling trips. The guides were great and we had a great time. We rented a car in the hotel one day and visited around the island. Went to town several nights for dinner. The hotel is a short cab ride to town, and could be walked if you want to.

We will go back again.

We just returned last night from a four-day stay at the Coral Princess. The grounds were always clean--the staff worked hard to keep trash, sand, dirty dishes, etc. picked up. There was always someone sweeping or cleaning something.

We lucked out and got an eighth floor ocean-side room. Yes, the rooms are small, but how much time do you want to spend there, anyway? The king bed was very comfortable, the shower was huge. the balcony little-bitty. Due to conservation measures, sheets and towels will not be changed daily unless you request it. We had no problem with insects in our room, as one reviewer stated in a review (maybe it was the time of the year?)

Breakfast was included with our package, and we usually upgraded what we ordered. The service was impecable (sp?) and the food was excellent.

The snorkeling was not the best I have experienced in Cozumel, but again, that may have been due to the weather. It was very windy on Saturday, and cool and dreary on Sunday. Yesterday morning, the tide must have been carrying krill or plankton because the fish were abundant when we were doing one last snorkel. We saw many different kinds of fish, and yes, there were jellyfish, too. Yes, we got stung, but it wasn't a debilitating thing--just uncomfortable. You do your best to watch out, but sometimes, you will get stung.

We did rent a car at the airport so that we could go into town to eat, shop, and drive around the island. There is a rental agency at the hotel with the same prices as the airport.

Over all, we would stay here again. Hope this helps anyone that is thinking of staying at the Coral Princess.

I recently returned from a 7 night stay at the Coral Princess. It was a wonderful experience. The rooms were very well kept, the bathrooms were nice and large. The oceanview balcony was spectacular.
The snorkeling from the hotel was great. The fish were always abundant. The stingrays would come out right before dinner time around 4-5. Loved it!
Our rooms included breakfast daily but we upgraded to the American breakfast for 2.00 each. It was well worth the money and there was plenty of food. We ate there one evening for dinner and the meal was very good and reasonable priced. The service at the restaurant and bars were top notch. The drinks are expensive so if you want to drink there you should take advantage of happy hour at the pool from 5-6 or in the lounge from 7-8. You can also buy your own drinks downtown and bring it to your room where there is a fridge to keep it cool or an ice machine to fill a cooler.
I would highly recommend this hotel and not one time share person approched us the entire week that we stayed there.
We also rented a car for a day from the hotel service desk and bought tickets to the Fury Katamaran. Both experiences were great and never had any problems.

I went down with a friend for some R&R. We're not divers or activity junkies so we weren't ask for much more than a pool and a bartender. The hotel is nice but probably looks nicer than it actually is. There were some great staff members and some who were barely present. The pool is decent but got really warm and was so gross one day that no one got in. The pool guy came out to clean all the crap out and look 100% bothered by the fact that we wanted all of the dead bugs and shrubery out of the pool. The bartender was awesome. Food was so so. It gets windy out so be prepared to lay out while simultaneously covering your face from the sandblasts.

The room was nice, decent size. We stayed in a smoking room but it didn't smell like one. We had an oceanview room and when we opened the curtains there were a million bugs stuck between the window and the building. Needless to say we didn't open the sliding door not once. So i always inspect the beds and was completely disgusted to see bugs crawling around. ewwwwwwww. The cleaning woman was great and flipped and changed but i never got near that bed again and bunked with my friend.

The hotel is a $3 cab ride into town so that was a bonus. Pretty slow paced place. When the cruise ships are in the place gets really busy. Most of them are out by 6 pm and then it slows down again. Guido's is great for pizza. Didn't like Pepe's at all. We thought it was more like a Peter Luger but ended up being a nice looking Sizzlers. We took the ferry to Playa Del Carmen twice that was fun. About a 40 min ferry ride, $10 each way. Great trip, ehh hotel.

We stayed at the Coral Princess from Feb. 20-22....Great time and I can't say enough. The hotel was very clean, beautiful setting right on the ocean. We slept with our sliding glass door open every night as we had ocean view...room 314.

We snorkled and the fish were just as beautiful and plentiful as what we saw on a submarine tour (don't recommend the submarine-but that is another story).

Water at the front desk is $1...more expensive in the gift shop. The drinks were great (I recommend the Dirty Monkey)...The staff was wonderful and Pedro took care of our every need.

We took the introductory scuba diving classes at Pepe's and Socrates was a wonderful instructor-30 minutes in the pool and then you are off to the ocean. The current is strong so be aware whether snorkling or scuba diving.

The time share talk was brief as we insisted on only an hour to talk...they took no as an answer and we were done. We still may consider the timeshare as we enjoyed our stay very much.

As for the rest of the island...you have to rent a car and take the tour of the island...Cocunuts is a great place to eat/drink...blue margaritas..mmmm and the food and view were beyond compare... Enjoy
