Cozumel Trip Report
Hotel Cozumel Resort
Lots less people than last Easter, as Easter was later this year. Weekends were busier. The
hotel is much improved. A new chef from Cuba has improved the food lOx. Paella,
grilled pork, fish, beef kabobs all available at lunch. Although we ate out most nights the
nights I was there was nice. Service was also noticeably improved. The new Captain of
the waiters, Rafael had the team concept in place. A waiter, Juan, also provides table
service at the pool from 11 to 5 daily. A nice touch. Props to Jesus and Gonzalo at Los
Pericos. Great service. Service is 5 x improved. The Los Arcos restaurant is now enclosed
and air-conditioned. The buffets are set up here now and provide a much safer
environment to serve in. They are building a new restaurant at the beach club. They
added a Jacuzzi at the beach club, not open yet but lost the pool. The palapas and
trees are also missing and I hope they replace them. It was a nice place to chill but it
lacks any shade. The pool heater is working as is the Jacuzzi, nice and warm. Water
service in the halls was always full and cold. The grounds are still nice, they just need time
to grow. The animation and kids club staff are excellent. They kept my 10 and 14 year olds happy and as busy as they wanted to be. The nightly shows were there if you wanted them. My 10 year old loved them. Thanks Ester, Diane, Estrella, Glendy, Francisco,Julio, Martin, and Efred. Our family enjoyed Hotel Cozumel.
