We just came back from Hotel Cozumel and Resort and we can not stop talking about the great time we had there. The staff is attentive and very polite, always showing concern about the guests. Our children, 8 and 9 had lots of fun, they had a huge pool with a jacuzzi and provide you with pool games like volley ball and basketball. The food is good , but we prefered to go out to experience the great variety of restaurants that the island offers. Highly recommended for diving and snorkeling. The rates are very affordable.

We stayed for 12 nights at Hotel Cozumel and resort. We did not do the all inclusive plan preferring to take advantage of the great location and walk to the incredible restaurants around town. The hotel is about 1/2 mile from the square and maybe a couple miles from the far end of town. For us this was a perfect way to work off dinner.

The hotel itself is a very diver oriented operation with a nice pool. Other than that there was nothing really outstanding about this facility. The only real negatives were the lack of umbrellas, pallapas around the pool and the lack of a beach.

Relaxing Trip. Not too bad, but would stay somewhere else next time.

Overall our stay was very relaxing. When we weren't diving with Dive Paradise, we were relaxing poolside. It was very quiet due to flu scrare and we enjoyed the peace. Here are the pros and cons:

Pros: Service was good, scuba access on premise, strong AC, Big Pool
Cons: Bed very hard, alcohol bottom shelf, food just ok

It's ok - great location but the staff doesn't know anything about their island.

I'll look for other places to stay next time I'm in Cozumel. Probably either downtown or on the beach proper. The rooms were good, nothing special, although the furniture was a bit old. Good shower pressure. Housekeeping never provided enough of something every day - soap, shampoo, towels, coffee - very inconsistent. Front desk staff didn't know anything about their island...don't ask them for recommendations or directions...they don't know. You're better off using the phone book to look stuff up and/or wander around & take note of interesting places. But Jaime - pool server - is by far the best server I've found at a destination place. He not only is friendly & talkative, he anticipates your needs before you knew you had them!

This was our second trip to Hotel Cozumel (April 09), the hotel has made noticeable improvements over the past year. We were in a second floor room with two double beds; this was not bad we only heard the room above us a few times. I would recommend asking for a top floor room – if you do not mind the stairs, there is only one elevator for the hotel.

We did the bed and breakfast plan, and as the reviews state breakfast is very good. It always has cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit and eggs made to order. The hot bar has interesting food anything from what looks like leftovers from the night before to waffles. Great fresh pico-de-gallo.

We ate supper at the hotel buffet twice it was very good and reasonably priced, between 12-15 USD. We ran a tab most days and would check the charges prior to billing to our room, never had a false or wrong charge. There is a happy hour (for two hours) daily, usually between 4-6, the time does change so check with the servers, it is a great deal! A tip early in your stay will go a long way!

We really enjoyed our time by the pool, plenty of chairs, great service we even played volleyball for a while. The microphone was not that loud and did not take away from our relaxation – that said we did not sit by the stage/speakers

The beach side is quiet and relaxing. They doubled the beach area from last year, it extends over to Scuba Club Cozumel.

We did not dive with the house dive shop, Dive Paradise, but the staff and crews from this shop were extremely nice and helpful, even though they knew we were not diving with them.

Short walk to town. Take a walk to the yummy taco restaurants on 30 Ave – they do not open until 7PM – we always felt safe everywhere we walked. Jeeps are available for rent in the lobby for approx 80-100 USD to drive the island (a must do!).

This is a 3-star hotel but for the price and location you can’t beat it. If you need 5-star pampering Hotel Cozumel is not for you. We checked out other hotels and decided when we return we will stay here again! We do not recommend the all-inclusive unless you are going to spend most of your time at the hotel or you get it on a really good deal.
