Stayed at the Cozumel Palace 7-30-07 through 8-3-07. First time at an all inclusive. Here are the main points:
From looking around this facility appears to be small for an all-inclusive, but that makes it intimate and very pleasant. It still had plenty of things to do and see.
Check-in: Got there early, about 10 a.m. got wristbands, checked bags, talked about the passport trips and scheduled a few and off we went to enjoy the facilities. Room was ready by 12:30 and was let right in.
Staff: Outstanding, kind, always willing to help, go above and beyond. Please take plenty of sigle dollar bills to tip them, they deserve it!
Room/Facility: Spotless, beautiful rooms and balcony with gorgeous views of the ocean including hammock, chairs and small table. A/C worked great and it was very hot. No beach but nice snorkeling area and beach loungers - no problem finding some at any time. Pool is a bi-level, clean and just the right temperature. Swim up pool was fun with the choice to meet others if you wanted. The staff here were outstanding, Franklin and Ricardo - great job!
Snorkeling: Saw lots of colorful fish- queen angelfish-porkfish-bluestriped grunts and even two barracuda's, all right off the hotel's snorkeling area.
Food: Was great. Lots to choose from. I found I could always get just what I wanted. Loved the Mexican Restaurant (two dinners there). Read many review of people tired of same food, but wasn't our issue staying four days. The outdoor grill for dinner was great and the Mayan show after was very interesting.
Time Share: We did not encounter ANY pitches or pressure to do this.
Additional Perks: We were able to go to any other Palace and use all facilities and eat or drink there and there was no problem doing this.
Accessiblity: There was a Chedraui grocery store right across the street with clothing and many items in case you forgot something. This always makes things more economical. It is a 15 - 20 minute walk to town which was very easy to do even though it was hot.
We chose Cozumel because we love to snorkel and like being able to walk into town and the Palace seemed to have it all.
Thank you Cozumel Palace, for wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. We won't hesitate to come back!

I just got back from a fantastic stay at the Cozumel Palace. The food was what you would think a 5 star resort should be. Fresh Tuna to great steaks for dinner to the best salad and food bar for lunch . Our rooms were claned up three times per day. My only complaint is the lack of a beach or water sports.

My wife and I just got back from a week trip at the Cozumel Palace. We absolutely loved everything about it. We had been to Cozumel several times, but this was our first time at the Palace. They take care of your every need, if you don't see something that you want jusk ask, and they will get it for you. I have never stayed anywhere that did that for you. The resort is absolutely gorgeous.

Restaurants- Go to the Chinese, it is by far the best ( every restaurant is still pretty good). Ask for Samuel, my wife and I loved him, and he recommended his favorites for us, which were awesome. By the second day, all of the waiters knew our names, which was pretty cool.
If you go to Italian ask for Alberto. He went out of his way to cater to our every need. I was looking for a Cesear salad, and they didn't have one, and Alberto told me he could make one for me. I told him not to bother, cause I didn't want to bother him. Five minutes later he came to my table with the best Cesear salad I have had in a long time. I couldn't thank him enough for the effort, and definately tipped him. I know it is an all inclusive, but these staff really bust thier butt to mak your stay a pleasant one, a couple of bucks here and there is appreciated.

Things to do=
Shore Dive from Hotel, not all that great to see, but cheap= $21.00 a dive, $6.00 if you have all your equipment.

Go to other side of Island. We rented a jeep with the other couple we were with, and this was by far the best experience of our trip. The other side is breathtaking, and very secluded.

Go to Margaritaville. It just opended up, and is a little pricy, but the margaritas are the best, and a must for all Parrot Heads, FINS UP!

Over all , if we go back to Cozumel, we will definately stay at the palace, to come back and see our new friends Samuel, and Alberto.

After reading the raving trip reports on Trip Advisor, we were pleasantly surprised that all of them were indeed, true! We stayed at the Cozumel Palace, Jul 21-25 and we will definitely return.
Having been veterans of PLG, we could only imagine the transformation. Great Service, Wonderful Food, Beautiful Property were just a few of the descriptions we read.

The resort was indeed very nice! We were met at the door, with the requisite cold towel and glass of champagne. As we arrived, the daily "ten minute" rain shower let loose, and suddenly, the lobby was filled with people in wet bathing suits escaping the storm outside. Not a problem with the Coz Palace staff. They immediately set up craft tables, and blackjack tables, transformed the lobby area , and brought the outside party inside!

After check in, we were shown to our room by the friendly bell staff, who explained the operation of the safe, the operation of the mini bar, and where to call if we needed anything, and I do mean anything.

Each day was a repeat of the wonderful food, the great service, and a beautiful resort. The nightly shows were entertaining and they did a great job of getting audience participation.

The food was good and plentiful! Breakfast? Omelettes, fruit, eggs cooked to order, different meats, tamales, a bloody mary/mimosa bar.

Lunch? Fajitas, grilled fish, hamburgers, salad bar, build your own pizza........dessert bar, complete with build your own sundaes......

Dinner? Your choice of different restaurants complete with flaming coffee presentations or flaming desserts, or both!
We enjoyed the sushi. They even made something not on the menu that I like. It was delicious. The staff told us at check in not to worry about the dress code for dinner and that shorts were just fine. Most men had on shorts/golf shirts or button downs and the women had on everything in the world. Can't decide what wine you want? No problem...they brought a huge tray with five different bottles and we had our own wine tasting. Didn't like those, so the waiter brougth two more. WOW!! If you miss dinner, or wind up hungry at midnight, the late night(after 10:30) menu offered four entrees all night. Never more than twenty minutes for great midnight food.!

We could go on and on, but in short, we will return. Each of the staff members we encountered were friends by the 2nd time we would see them. They always greeted us with a smile, and continuously said, "We are so glad you are here."
One of the many reasons we love Cozumel are the people, and the Coz Palace has the best!

Great snorkeling off the shore of the hotel. Tons of crabs on the rocks, tons of fish in the water, sea urchins, and we even saw a parrot fish. Snorkels are new and individually wrapped. No charge for anything. We NEVER had a problem finding a chair and they gave us as many beach towels as we asked for. One day they had all the little girls at a beachside table with at least thirty bottles of nail polish and were doing nail art. There were poolside salsa dancing lessons, fun pool games throughout the day (with a bottle of tequila for the lucky winners), and a huge refrigerator of ice cream near the pool. For the grown-ups they also had a do it yourself tequila shot table at night. HA!

Spa: Had a great back massage and a pedicure. Both were top notch and the lady gave me the pedi supplies to keep. OPI polish and all sorts of other "top shelf" products.

It was my birthday and we got back to the room to find a wonderful birthday cake waiting beside the wine.

Location fantastic, small resort with fabulous personal service, people friendly with smiles every time. We can't wait to go back!

I just had to write in and tell anyone that reads this, what a wonderful place the Cozumel Palace is our family of 10 just were there in July from the 18th to the 23rd. It was truly a dream trip come true, everything they print about the palace is true and much more. From the minute we walked in to the minute we walked out we were waited on hand and foot, there was always someone there to ask you if everything was ok or if we needed anything. The food was great and we tried it all we never had a bad meal. The intertainment from the pool to the night time was great. Our children went 3 years without any gifts at Christmas, birthdays or anniversaries so we could go on this trip, and we worked hard to make this trip come true for all of them, and it was wonderful and they said they would go without again just to be able to do it again, and they want to go back to the Cozumel palace we told them they had others but they enjoyed it so much that they want to go there again. The only thing bad about it was that we couldn't stay longer. So if your thinking about a place to go it's the place. The people are friendly and caring and they work so hard to make you feel at home. The kids went snokeling right off the deck , it has a wonderful man made beach there, so you don't even miss not being right on a beach and there are so many beaches not far from there that you can enjoy. They are very helpful with explaining trips that you can take to see the island and you can walk from the palace to down town San Maquiel and always feel safe. I can't say enough about our stay there only that it was a dream come true. We will be back The Teuts
