Absolutely Fantastic.

Let me start by saying that our weather could not have been worse. It poured 7 of our 8days. The day the sun came out was beautiful abnd we were fortunate enough to get 2 great Sunsets. What made the trip so fantastic was the resort . Yes it was not the Ritz Carleton in terms of opulence but it sure was beautiful. The service however was very much on par with the Ritz without stufiness.

Great resort! Not big. It was small and intimate. The Food was the best of any all inclusive we stayed with. Absolutely great. If you're a diver, the dive group there is great but I would reccomend finding a different dive group if time is an issue for you. The earliest the boat retuned was 12:30 pm.

Hands down, what made the Palace so wonderful was the people. They were amazing. Our glasses were never allowed to be empty -and I don't drink. The service was omnipresent.

We have been to Mexico many times in the past and the people have just been so inviting and warm. These people took it to another level however. The nicest hardest working staff I have ever experienced.... excellent management. Have I said enough?

If you are not in need of a beach (no beach here- great pool & snokeling area however - I need no beach) make it easy on yourself. Book the trip!

This was the best experience I have ever had at a hotel. I travel often for business and have stayed in numerous 4 and 5 star places and the Cozumel Palace hits it out of the park. I went to Cozumel for a birthday party for a friend. I was traveling alone. The securtiy is top notch. I had a friend stop by to say hello. They were stopped and not allowed in. The security boys came over to to me while basking in the beautiful Mexico sunshine and asked if I wanted to see them. Top Notch. I will never stay anywhere else.

If you are looking for a great vacation for a great price, look no further! This all-inclusive hotel made us feel like royalty! The Hotel Staff goes out of the way to ensure you have everything you could possibly wish for-- including making a birthday cake and delivering it to our room as a surprise! (Thanks, Marcos!) They pampered us and customer service was exceptional . The food was above average (but breakfast is greasy!), the drinks were outstanding-- anything you can come up with, they can make. I recommend a bumble-bee shot! ;) The rooms are spacious and clean and the jaccuzi tub is fantastic. I can't say enough about this place- I love to travel and experience new things, but am already anticipating my next trip here, getting certified to scuba, and going on a dive with Chino. Highly recommended!

Dates: 10-13-2008 to 10-21-2008
Room: 515

So, after so many reviews and homework, we finally went to our honeymoon at the Cozumel Palace. I bought the week plus one day from a VIP member on ebay, which I HIGHLY recommend! They treat you as if you were the member, you get the silver VIP bracelet, and you get the perks for a better price than ANY of the travel sites! So, here is the breakdown of our trip.

FLIGHT AND TRANSPORTATION

We decided to fly into Cancun since it was hundreds of dollars cheaper. Being that we bought the VIP week, the transportation was included, which is a VERY good bonus (saved $100). We got our bags and met our van, which took us to Playacar Palace. We then ate lunch there cause we needed to wait for the next ferry. Once on the ferry, it was about a 45 minute ride across. At the other side, we caught a taxi for a short 3 minute ride.

ENTRANCE TO CP

We were immediately greeted with a damp towel, which was nice and expected. I thought they forgot about the champagne, but we got something better. It was called the "Check-in" drink, and was very delicious!

CHECK-IN

Check in went very well. We got there at 4pm, so we didn't have to wait for the room. After we got our keys, we made our honeymoon package reservations, got our free t-shirts, and set up our dinner. Then we got the weeks activities and set up other events.

ROOM

BEAUTIFUL! Just as in the pictures, we got a very nice room with all the great perks! Nothing was a surprise, since I did all my research. I was happy that the mini fridge had regular sodas and drinks too, and not just alcohol. The only problem was that 515 is one of the few rooms where the balcony isn't covered. SO, it was always wet after the rain, which kinda sucked. Our hammock was soaked most of the time.

Showers were huge, bathroom immaculate, and the bed was very comfortable for us. Hottub cool too, although we only used it three times.

ROOM SERVICE

VERY fast... although one time they messed up my food, but who cares, it's free anyway! They are very accomodating to help out!

FOOD

Honestly, all the food was good. I had NO problem with any of the food we ate. All the restaurants were great, and all the staff at the restaurants were awesome! (Except one guy who seemed to be on too much caffeine, lol).

STAFF

The entertainment staff were excellent! We got to know them very well by the end. Ricardo (Pretty Ricky) was very nice to everyone, and flirtatious to the women, lol. Sujei was very kind and social to everyone, along with Theresa (Theresita). Papi (Miguel) and Danny Boy (Daniel) were both hilarious. And on our last day we met Laura who just got back from vacation. Everyday they did their best to keep the guests enjoying their stay! I got close to them all and they remember your name instantly! Great people...

SERVICE

By far the best service I received anywhere. I don't think we ever got a "No". Everything was YES, IT'S A PLEASURE, and YES AGAIN, lol. 100% nice people! Luis at the bar was my best bartender. Got me addicted to Grasshoppers, which were very tasty.

All in all, this was great!

Pros: Service, Rooms, Staff, Location...
Cons: After 10pm, the hotel is pretty much dead.

Hotel staff was great, rooms were very clean with great view of ocean. Only complaint with the hotel was the noise in the early morning. When booking DO NOT USE TRAVELOCITY, the price of our trip dropped and they would not honor the 24 hour price guarantee. Also we bought the trip protection plan and to cancel (if one of us was injured, death in family, etc.) they said we would be charged a $4,000 penalty 40% cost of the vacation. COZUMEL PALACE WONDERFUL!!! TRAVELOCITY LIES TO THEIR CUSTOMERS !!
