We stayed at the Cozumel Palace February 2008. Extremely attentive service (almost overkill :-) I think they called us at least 2 times right after check-in to be sure everything was ok. Rooms are exactly as pictured on the website - very lovely and comfortable. My friend thought the beds were way too hard, but I think this is common in Mexico. The beds were definitely on the firm side but I thought they were ok. I did think the bedding was slightly scratchy (but I'm also exceptionally picky about bedding). View from our room was absolutely stunning!! We did two of their included tours and both were top notch (Tulum and Chankanaab Park)!! The food was quite good - better than at the Cancun Palace. There's also a huge grocery store across the street (kind of like a Walmart) and it's only about a 10 minute walk into the town center with lots of shopping. We absolutely did not miss having a beach at all. The snorkeling right off the pool area was just great and we preferred that to having a beach!!! The pool area was lovely for lounging and snacking. The rooms are quite pricey but very, very nice!

My husband and I went here for 7 days. Upon arrival we were greeted with champagne and strawberries. All of the staff were very helpful- most of them spoke english fairly well. It is an all-inclusive so we tried to drink/eat on hotel premises. Great beer selection at bars. The restaurants food was good- but the wait was long. Lots of entertainment every few hours. We had an in room spa which was nice. A beautiful view of the ocean. Hammock on balcony was so nice. All request s made to hotel staff were granted right away (towels, pillows, etc.) Fridge in room was well stocked with bottled water, sodas, and beer. Alcohol also in room. 24 hour room service- that offered everything from chicken tenders and burgers to filet mignon.

Very clean room- sheets were soft- pillows were perfect- and bed was comfortable! Bathroom was very clean as well. House keeping came twice a day. Close to night life- and shopping. Looked like the nicest place on the island.

Overall an excellent experience-So relaxing and romantic. Would love to go back!

Not really sure where to start...........The cozumel palace is in a beautiful stretch of the island. The water, the reefs, and the palm trees are a great backdrop. The moment you walk into the hotel you are treated like a VIP. They take your luggage and give you a cool towel and a glass of bubbly with a cherry in it. They have you sit at a table with very comfy chairs while they do the check in process and explain everything to you. The grounds are well kept and very very clean.

The Room
Our room was on the 4th floor and only about 10 steps from the elevator which was nice. The room was great; everything is modern and well kept. Bathroom was very nice as well. The view is worth the price of admission. Sitting in a hammock looking out over the pool and the ocean is breathtaking. Makes you appreciate natures beauty. The stock of drinks they give you in your rooms is great. Plenty of bottled water, soda, beer, a bottle of wine, and 4 full bottles of liquor (smirnoff vodka, cuervo tequila, bacardi rum, and whiskey). They also supply a full bathroom set-razor and shaving cream, shampoo, conditioner, soap, face soap, creams and so on. Bathrobes and slippers are also supplied. All rooms have a balcony and a hammock. The room is not huge but a good size.

The Food
I am an avid food fan. Luv my food. It was incredible. 24 hr room service is great, not a giant menu, but very good stuff. Real cool little item is they give you a list to hang on your door and it lists everything they have for breakfast. So you just check off what and how many of things you want and check the time slot you want it and both mornings they were on the dot with the time that I put. Great little wake up treat. So for breakfast it’s either room service or the buffet. The buffet is awesome. Breakfast meats, toast, fresh fruit, mexican breakfast foods, bagels, cereal, yogurt, pastries, made to order omelets-pancakes-waffles. Lunch is room service, the outdoor grill, or lunch buffet (they set out different food for the lunch buffet not like vegas where they let most of the food sit out from breakfast and just change the sign to lunch.) The outdoor grill is great the nachos with guacamole are top notch. You can get sandwiches and other light fare at the grill but all of it is tasty. Side note at any given time there is always a little snack and coffee station set up in the lobby. Not to mention right near the entrance to the pool they have a table with food set up from 4pm on. (one day it was sushi, mexican treats the next). They also had a cart going around the pool one day with rice and seafood (a traditional mexican dish). Then dinner, if you luv food you will really be pleased- room service, they have mexican, italian, and chinese restaurants. The outdoor grill at night is a buffet with the grill featuring 2 types of fish, 2 types of steak, chicken, and shishkababs. The buffet food was really good as well-salads, stuffed tomatoes, veggies, pastas, and all types of breads. The desserts are so good. I usually don't indulge in to much dessert because I am a healthy eater, but it was vacation so I tried all of them. Late night they have room service which is limited (few sandwiches and salad) but when you’re hungry anything will do.

The Drinks
Aside from what they give you in the room you can call room service at anytime and they will restock your supply. You can also order beer and bottles of champagne/wine anytime you want and they run them right up to you. The lobby bar is always open and they have a full stock there. The pool bar is so much fun. We spent a good deal of time sitting at the swim up bar and having some drinks. They have just about every liquor and flavor of whatever you could ask for. They always have a drink of the day as well. I usually don’t drink fruity cocktails but what the hell I was on a tropical island.

All in all I had an amazing time. Weather was good too. The service is top notch and the staff goes above and beyond every time. If there’s even the slightest mistake they make up for it 10 fold. I would urge anyone to go and give this place a try. I'm already putting a trip together for next year. It was hard to leave.....but I will be back for more fun at the palace.

We left the Cozumel Palace yesterday after an 8 day stay. We had an Amazing time. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The rooms are just as they appear on the website...beautiful and spacious. The resort is very nice. Not to big yet no to small either. The hostesses, waiters and bartenders learned our names and preferences which truely added to our memorable experience. The food is amazing...LOTS of food choices our favorite was the outside grill...I recommend the tuna steak. Desserts were abundant and make sure to try the flaming Mexican & Mayan coffee...the presentation is beautiful. The drinks were very good and lots of top shelf choices. We liked the pool side bar...the bartenders are great. My daughter's name is Mikayla and in Mexico there is a song Makaela...whenever they saw her they would sing it to her and she would smile from ear to ear. Miguel Lopez from the Italian restaurant envited us to a special dinner. He prepared an authentic Mayan roasted pork dinner that took 8 hours to prepare. The food was wonderful but the interaction with Miguel, the chefs and staff made it the best part of our trip. I can't say enough about the Palace. At no point was our party of 8 disappointed. This hotel far exceeded our expectations. We visited two other Palace hotels while participating in the "passport" tours. They were nice but we were happy we chose the Cozumel Palace.

The tours...they are run by a company within the hotel and are very organized and included in your all inclusive package. After a 30 minute lesson my teens were able to do an hour of scuba diving at 25' and through underwater cave with an instructer at Chankanaab for only $65 per person. If you are looking for a fun and relaxing vacation visit Cozumel and make sure to stay at the Palace Resort.

Thank you Miguel, Ricardo, Gabriel, Laura, Luis, Fernando, and the rest of the service staff... You are beautiful people.

Even though they say tips are included...these people work so hard and offer such exceptional service you will want to tip. Bring extra money...they truely deserve it.

We hope to return to the Cozumel Palace next year!

I'm 15 and i just returned from an outstanding stay at the Palace Resort in Cozumel this afternoon. My family and another family with a 15 year old and a 13 year old are getting ready to book next year's vacation here already!
As soon as we got into the hotel we felt as if we were in paradise! cool rags were handed to us right off the bat as well as drinks for the adults and a beautiful view of the infinty pool cascading into the ocean catches your breath. The check-in took a mere 15 min. as to explain the whole inclusive idea. (Atzin was very friendly and helped in every way possible!) From there on everything got better! Due to overbooking, we were upgraded from two bedrooms to 2, two-story bedrooms right next to each other, both with double jacuzzie baths 2 bathrooms 2 bedrooms and a view of the ocean.
My friend and I loved the atmosphere. The staff was outstanding and the warmest people you could ever meet! You could tell they wanted to be there and truly make your stay the best possible! Since we have been taking spanish in school it was fun to try to communicate with the staff as much as we could. They were very patient with us as we stumbled over our spanish phrases and helped us learn new and correct ways of speaking. (Omar at the outside grill was very funny and was always in the mood for a spanish lesson)
At first when we reliezed there was no pool there was a bit of disappointment but we ended up never wanting to leave and loved just laying by the amazing pool. (Not to mention the best snorkeling in cozumel is right off the resort dock and is the most convient idea ever!) Besides the pool and the snorkling, there was live entertainment ever night! while we were there we attended: Casion Night, Karaoke Night, Myan Night and the Fire Show. The Fire show was performed by "Itzaes" a playa de Carmen based group. This performed tuesday, our last night, and what a way to end the trip. They are truly memorizing!
The food was amazzing and we couldnt get enough! espically the mini cookies that were always replaced on the coffee table! Those were the best cookies i've ever had! WHEN you stay there you must try them!
All in all, this was by far the best trip i have ever taken and will defianly be returning very soon and anytime i'm in the area. There was only one disappointment and that was the fact that we couldn't stay forever and that we had to leave. For an amazing vacation stay at the Plaza resort!!
