We arrived early Thursday afternoon, weather was beautiful. We were quickly shuttle from the airport to the resort (less than 10 mins by cab). We arrived at the palace, and were greeted by several people. Some took our luggage, others offered us drinks and cold cloths! Our room wasn't ready yet, so we sat in the main lobby, had a few drinks and some snacks.

When our room was ready, it was amazing. The first look took my breath away! Beautifully furnished, luxurious king sized bed, jacuzzi and sitting area, all looking out to the ocean! Just like in the pictures. Amazing bathroom, very spacious, with a double shower! All of the toiletries included were the large sized (no need to bring you own shampoo, con., soap or lotion!) Our view from the room was ocean and pool view. we could easily see all outside areas, with good ocean view as well as the international pier where the cruise ships arrived.

The pool area was great, although the swim up bar service was not great. always ample seating around the pool deck as well as in the sandy areas. A few kids were kicking around, but not too many. Never saw the kids club running, and the kid area was always vacant.

Restaurants were great, fabulous service. Great selection. Never had trouble finding something we liked, just had trouble deciding what to try. no need to make reservations.

Evening entertainment was good. Had a Mexican night, Caribbean night, fire and drum show, Mayan night, couples night, casino night. we missed the Caribbean night due to rain. all shows are outside so any weather issues cancels the shows completely! :(
Performances were great - fire and drums was our favorite and was fantastic - one not to miss!!

we rented a jeep one day and toured the island. we used teh travel agent AVIS through the palace resort. Great service. total cost was i think $100 give or take. Awesome time! Fun island.

we only did one excursion with the "passport to savings" and that the was glass bottom boat tour. Fantastic time as well. however the glass bottom boat was just a regular boat with a small Plexiglas window in the bottom. Great tour guides with fantastic snorkeling and a local reef (shallow). the guide was helpful in pointing out several marine life as well as a barracuda!!

room service was awesome- what ever you wanted when to want/need it. Housekeeping staff were also great- room was always spotless!

check out was fast and easy!

overall a fantastic trip! can't wait to go back!! no complaints/concerns! Recommend to anyone!

This has to be one of the best, if not the BEST vacations my wife and I have been on! I have traveled around the world and have seen many a hotel, but this has to take the cake for the best overall product and service.

From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were greeted with nothing but top shelf guest service. We were greeted with ice cold washcloths to refresh, and cold glasses of champagne with a cherry in the bottom... all this before we even stepped toward the front desk to check in! Check in was smooth as silk, and they gave us wrist bands.

Our room was to die for.... king bed with a HUGE jacuzzi tub built for two. The room faced the ocean, and had a great hammock! The bathroom was great... granite counter tops, and what my wife liked best of all... Biosilk bath products that were oversized!
Frig is stocked with soda, water and beer, and the armoire is stocked with big botles of booze (good stuff, not rot gut liquor).

Food quality - There are 5 different dining options for you to choose from. This was where we were most impressed. Food quality was fantastic (favorite is the Italian restaurant) and the service was second to none. My wife's absolute favorite is their guacamole. You can get htis in the lobby bar, room service or by the pool. Dont miss out on that! Oh, almost forgot.... the refried or black beans ROCK!

Things to do- If you want to snorkel, just jump off the back of the hotel. The mask, fins and snorkel are free to rent (they give you a free snorkel to keep), but the sights are average if you are an advanced diver. The nightly shows are GREAT! We laughed out loud. My wife thought they would be corny, but I caught her wiping her eyes with tears of laughter. She loved it too. If you are a shopper, just walk north about 2-3 blocks and you will be in the main part of town. This hotel is in a great part of town and just minutes from the fun! There is also a Mexican version of Wal Mart just across the street in case you forgot anything.

People, people people.... This is the best part of this hotel's assets. I cannot tell you enough how awesome the hotel's staff are. From the front desk to the housekeeping staff to the wait staff.... all of them actually care and it shows in their work ethic. Although this was an all inclusive package (gratuity included), we felt it important to tip a little more because we wanted to. These people work their tails off! Believe me - you wil be impressed!

We have already agreed that we will make this a place to visit once a year. See you next March!

We stayed at the Cozumel Palace Feb. 23 - March 1, 2008 with 2 of our really good friends. This was our first time staying at a Palace resort. We had to travel from Cancun to Cozumel and took the ferry from Playa del Carmen at 11:00 PM. The water was choppy so the ride was unpleasant. The Cozumel Palace is a small, almost boutique, hotel, sandwiched between other condos/hotels. The rooms, which are quite lovely with a Jacuzzi style tub, overlook the Caribbean with Playa del Carmen in the distance. The service was excellent and friendly. The staff went out of their way to please us. The pool area was beautiful with sufficient shade for those not wishing to get burned. There is no beach area, but there is an area for snorkeling. The food was good and the deserts were outstanding. I was not impressed with the Asian restaurant, but the others were really good. The outside grill was my favorite. However they did allow cigar smoking which was annoying. We were disappointed with the weather as we had several windy days. One day was so windy that hardly a soul left the hotel. Which brings me to my only real complaint. The noise level from the bar area made it difficult to have a conversation in the non-bar lounge. I think they would be well served to install noise deadening walls between the two areas. Overall, a fabulous time and would return.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Cozumel Palace for the first time--and we loved it! We were welcomed at the airport by Jorge from Elite travels. Once at the hotel--we quickly checked in and went to our room--wow, what a view! I am a very picky eater, but I didn't have any problems while at the palace--they are so accomodating to meet your needs! The gym is really nice and overlooks the water which makes working out nice! The staff is very friendly, anything you need they are quick to get for you! We went to Tulum and Coba and had a great experience because of our tour guide (Jorge)--the trips are long but definately worth it! Definately will return to another Palace Resort!!!

We stayed at the Cozumel Palace April 15-20, 2007 (sorry, I'm a LITTLE late) for our honeymoon. The resort is small and intimate, perfect for a honeymoon or couples' getaway. Service was great, food was good, rooms were absolutely beautiful and looked exactly like the pictures on the Palace website. We did get a little noise because our room was right next to the elevator, but not too bad. The bathroom was huge and stocked with full-size Biosilk products (I'm still using mine almost a year later). The water is amazing, so clear and beautiful. We took the ferry over to Playa del Carmen one day and hung out at the Playacar Palace, if you are missing sand, I definitely recommend it. I liked that there wasn't sand because it made the water very clear and non-murky. As far as the reviewer complaining about the hotel being non-child-friendly - did the Jacuzzis for 2 in the rooms not tip you off that this is a couple-focused resort?
