I'll be straight up with you...this was the best vacation EVER!

I can honestly not say enough good things about the Cozumel Palace, the resort, the staff, the food, the experience...everything was fantastic.

I knew we were in for a trip with unparalleled service when, upon check in, the bell staff offered us a CHILLED face cloth to wipe away the travel grime. How fantastic is that???

The chilled facecloth was followed by a champagne cocktail and then the wonderful front desk staff member took our name and then directed us to sit down and relax and she brought the entire check in process to us...as we lounged with our champagne cocktails and phenomenal view.

Our room was beautiful, the double sliding doors that opened up and gave us a wall of ocean view...breathtaking. I LOVED the extra large shower stall, the jacuzzi tub filled up quickly and was a lovely treat for the end of the day. Oh, and the hammock on the balcony overlooking nothing but beautiful blue water...it was and will always be, my happy place!

The staff very quickly knew our names, and always always always greeted us with genuine pleasure. They took service to a whole new level.

I could go on and on about the service, listing specific instances when the staff astounded us (they remembered our favourite soup, from the other restaurant ,and brought it to us without being asked...they remembered our drink orders and brought them to us without being asked)...suffice it to say, the Cozumel Palace is the standard by which every other resort for the rest of my life will be measured.

We're already planning our next trip there.

Go, you'll not regret it!!

  • Liked — Every room is full ocean view with a hammock on the balcony
  • Disliked — Ice machine noise, but it was sporadic at best

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Cozumel Palace. At first, we were a bit disappointed by the appearance of the hotel, because the photos on the website were so beautiful. The truth is, it is a bit old and outdated..but dressed up to cover it, if that makes sense to you?
However, after our first room service order we realized that the service level was top notch. At every meal, at any of the restaurants, your napkin is placed on your lap for you, and you are given full attention until the time you leave. Very, very surprising for an all inclusive. This great service made the dated marble and chipped sink in our room seem unimportant. The food was good, I won't say the greatest I ever had, but it exceeded my expectations.

More nice touches were not having to keep track of pool towels, like some other AI's. Just take what you need and leave them. Also, being able to walk into any restaurant at any time with no reservation was a plus. We had a short, but sweet visit. Would visit again, but this time I would not book transfers that make you see the annoying "travel rep" at the hotel bugging you to take all his tours. That is a pet peeve of mine. Other then having to wear that "tag" on your wrist, it has the feel of a refined resort.
You will leave pleased, I'm sure.

  • Liked — Service
  • Disliked — Dated marble throughout the hotel. Poor workmanship on tile work.

We are a professional couple from Long Island NY in our mid forties. We have done quite a lot of traveling and tend to appreciate quality over quantity . We were looking for a week long getaway for Feb 2-9 that offered rest and relaxation and diving. I am a diver but my wife is not. We chose the Cozumel Palace because of the reviews on tripadvisor. The week was just what we wanted. The property is great. Up to date and clean. The staff are amazing., super friendly and very accommodating. Tips are included in the hotel pricing but I would encourage tipping because I was told that the average Mexican earns 8 dollars a day. If that is really the case the dollar you give them goes a long way and is always very much appreciated. The lack of beach was not a problem for us. No problem with pool chairs either. One day we rented a jeep and drove to the other side of the island. Quiet beaches and great views. I dove on site with the on site dive center Aqua Safari and they were terrific as well. I did 3 days of diving -2 tank morning dives and 1 night dive.
The food was great as well. Though we did not eat at the Asian place. The wait staff were very accommodating handling most special requests but at times there was a language barrier . We stuck to bottled water even for brushing teeth and had no problems.
A great vacation. We would definitely go back to the Cozumel Palace.

My wife and I returned from the Cozumel Palace last week. What a great place to go to to feel pampered and enjoy the best of service along with a good variety of excellent food.

The staff went beyond our expectations for service, the rooms were top notch and the whole place was very clean and inviting. The whole island had a lot to offer....I had all the diving I wanted and my wife definetly enjoyed the shopping. What a friendly island. Plus we had perfect weather. We like to travel around and do not go back to a resort very much as there are too many places in this country to see, but we just have to go back here because for your money it is an excellent deal and there is things that we have not done there yet....I need more diving and don't miss out on the Feb. street festival.......top notch.

This all-inclusive was the best I've visited in Mexico . Superb service, truly wonderful employees; very good food, very good drinks. Ambience was super, room was very nice - all in all, a terrific experience. I've been to an all-inclusive in Puerto Vallarta which was ok, and one in Cancun that was less than great - but this one was wonderful. Would go again to any Palace Resort, and recommend it. (I chose this particular resort because of reviews I read here - so they were all absolutely right!)

  • Liked — Service; facilities
  • Disliked — nothing - all was good.
