We stayed at the Cozumel Palace for 10 incredible nights and 11 lavish days. We both have traveled quite a bit and we were pleased beyond words. The service, food, rooms and drinks were above reproach. The only problem was we didn't want to leave! The wait staff were amazingly friendly and remembered our names upon entering the restaurants. The food at the Italian, Mexian and grill by the patio were decadent. The Japanese restaurant was a little weak but still wonderful atmosphere and service. We plan on returning in May. In town, try La Mission and La Choza restaurants. We went to them four of the ten nights. La Mission is family owned and some of the best Mexican food around which is hard to believe because we are from Central California which has great Mexican food! We ate there three nights and the prices were unbelievable...steak and lobster with all of the trimmings for $19.95!! Too good to be true! You won't be disappointed!

Great place! Worth the extra dough due to the service and food. They dont skimp on anything. If you dont like something.. no problem.. try something else. Breakfast is fabulous. And great fish at diner. Yeah, the steaks are not special though. The service is fabulous but at times can take a little long. I dont like waiting for anything though.
We loved the staff. They were personable and fun. I prefer bigger All In but my husband claims this to be his fave. He liked the smaller size. The pool was nice but nothing special. We did Grand Bahia Princple for our honeymoon in May and I thought that was the perfect size. The staff and service is what really stands out with this hotel. Great location too!
The halls were waaaaay too noisy. I HATED I that. I prefer to feel more private. But the room made up for it. Nice.
Loved being able to eat when we wanted.. no reservations! And no dress code. So laid back.
I even gave Miguel one of the managers that we loved a couple of "critiques" and they were a done deal. The managers are very helpful and not afraid to get their hands dirty so to speak. They help out a lot.
Not cool that they charge you for internet unless you have your own laptop. Free room service was killer. Not as yummy as eating downstairs but but very cool to have.
I could nit pick but all and all we will be going back at least for a few days. Its the place to stay if you love Coz.
Wish we were still there.

We spent 4 nights at the Palace at the end of Nov. and 3 nights at El Coz. We did this because we have two young boys and since we had never been before I was a bit concerned about not having a real beach at the Palace. Also, the Palace is a bit more pricey so staying at El Coz. helped offset the total vacation cost. I tend to like to see everything when I go somewhere so staying at two places helps me to feel like I'm seeing more of the island. The benefit of the Palace is being close to town.

First of all, our room was perfect. We were on a top floor more towards the adult pool. What the room lacks in size if made up in view and with the jacuzzi tub. Also a nice addition is the slippers they give to you for your visit and you may need them if you use the jacuzzi because the floor can get rather slick.

The food was quite good. I was concerned being it was an AI that the food would be questionable but we found each restaurant to have good food. The banana flambe at the italian restaurant is a must have!

The free tours they offer made the cost per night especially worth it. Had we not been traveling with our two young children I would have thought the cost was fair but since we had to pay an additional $50 per night per kid, it did make the stay a bit pricey. That would be my only complaint for value. That seemed a steep charge for two five year olds. Jorge the tour guide was excellent. We had purchased something on one of our tours that we later felt we had way overpaid for and he kindly returned it for us taking care of the matter without any hassle. Also, although I read no mention of it before our trip, they will pay for your cab and entrance back and forth to go to Playa Mia Beach club for the day and we thoroughly enjoyed doing that. Those little extras were a nice add on.

The wait staff was excellent. The place felt very clean. We will definitely be back. It was also nice that the week we were there the weather was picture perfect. Highly recommed it. I'll also be reviewing El Coz if interested in seeing that.

We just returned from a weekend trip to Cozumel, Mexico where we stayed at the Cozumel Palace. Everything went so smoothly, it seemed like a dream. The rooms were perfect... big, comfy bed, hot tub and a huge, ocean-view balcony. They were kept very clean and the maid service was great. The pools and deck area was also kept immaculate. All the servers were fast and friendly. The snorkle area below the decks was very clean and nice. We saw some fish (not a lot) and I felt very safe, though the water was pretty deep (for my taste). So... the only thing that keeps me from giving the Cozumel Palace an "excellent" rating was the food. It was mediocre... very blah and sometimes poorly cooked. However, the waffle I had at the buffet was delicious and the Mayan prepared Grouper at the Mexican restraunt was very good.
The best food we had was during a day trip to the "Playa Palancar", a beautiful beach located on the same side of the island as the Cozumel Palace. I would highly recommend renting a jeep from the hotel and spending the day there.

This was the smallest all-inclusive we ever stayed at. What it lacked in size, it made up in personal service. All of the staff were extremely attentive and went above and beyond. The rooms were very nice, we especially enjoyed the jazuzzi tub in the room. The beds were better than at home and the bed linens were high end. There is not much need to pack too many toiletries, because they provided nice size shampoo, conditioner, lotion, razor, shaving cream, decent toothbrush and toothpaste, mouthwash, among other items. There was 24 hour room service, and you could order food, and drink from your chair pool side, and brought to you by a waiter. You could be as lazy as you wanted to be.
Like I mentioned it is smaller than the larger resorts on the mainland, but there was a small man made beach area. We enjoyed snorkeling off the side of the pool area. The fish were used to being fed and they swarm you at the stairs when you get in the water. We recommend putting french fries or bread in a empty water bottle and just squeeze the bottle and they come swimming.
Don't miss the fire dancing show, it was really cool. We enjoyed our excursions with Chaza travel. We highly recommend Tulum and Coba. The best day of all was renting a car and driving around the island, it is a must do! Make sure to have lunch at Bonita Beach Restaurant and Bar, Very good food and great prices!!!!!
