We read the yeas and nays of this restaurant and decided to give it a try. We eat early in the evenings (7-8PM) and because of that, the place was nearly deserted. By the time we finished dinner, it had filled up quite nicely and had that buzz that popular places produce. The service, food and ambience were great along with a nice view of the lagoon. They offer lobster both live and “fresh”. We opted for the fresh and were not disappointed. They butterfly the tail and then grill it (this may be why some think the lobster dishes were too dry). However, I love the Mexican grilled flavor and found it very tastey.

The food is not terrific, but the staff was great and the decor is exquisite. We went to Lorenzillos for my birthday and the staff was so sweet. The lobser was good, not great, but the place was PACKED! Definately a tourist spot and the taxi drivers know that. I loved the look of this place and I was satisfied.

ate here twice while in cancun last week. loved it as usual. i think it should be higher on the list. the lobster thermidor is the best ever and i got it both times. the ceasar salad is also very good. the staff is great and you are right on the lagoon and can feed the fish. they will even eat shrimp tails. Also, they got different martini glasses so they are regular instead of a cone sitting in a glass of water that drips whenever you pick it up. You can also smoke outside. Our first night there a crocodile came up and visited and the waitor told us. we got awesome pictures.

The view from Lorenzillo's is fantastic. My husband and were in Cancun for 7 days and we went to Lorenzillo's twice. We sat right on the water and were able to feed the fish. The sunset was very romantic and that is why we spent our last night there as well as our first. We had the lobster, salmon, ceviche, 2 margharitas, 2 glasses of wine and dessert and our bill was $110. This place is great for 2 people or 10. If you have 7 or more make sure you ask to be in the gazebo outside, it was beautiful.
